Enterprise Architect – Banking Technology
This is a role where you, an experienced enterprise architect, can develop tech-leading target architecture within Banking, and where you will support with a holistic overview that ensures technologies are fit for the future and match BEC and their customers’ long-term technology strategies. At the same time, you will be part of an ambitious organisation that shares the ambition to create tech solutions that are vital for Denmark’s financial infrastructure. You will join BEC at the right time because you will become actively engaged in transforming financial technology solutions.
As Enterprise Architect, you will become part of a very strong team of approximately 60 architects and data stewards. The architects are divided into 3 levels: team architects that develop specific architectural solutions, domain architects that secure existing design, and enterprise architects that bind it all together with their overview and strategic understanding. Enterprise Architecture has the mandate to set the architectural vision and plan for the next 3 years, which means that your voice and experience are in high demand within your domain.
In the role, you will report to the Manager for Enterprise Architecture and engage actively with Senior Management across Business Development, Development, and externally towards selected customers. You will be based in Roskilde and enjoy flexibility in working from home when needed.
Set the framework for a visionary design of innovative banking tech solutions
As Enterprise Architect in Banking that includes domains such as Online Banking, Advisory/CEM, Payments, Wealth Management, Trading, Mortgage, and Pension, you will take centre stage in influencing and further developing BEC’s foundation by ensuring a robust and scalable architecture that is in line with business needs and strategies.
BEC is in the midst of change that demands strong enterprise architectural guidance and governance, and BEC has optimal conditions for creating a relevant and value-creating architecture. This is because there is an agile approach and mindset, close collaboration across business areas, and, not least, a focus on what adds value – not only now but also in the future. You will contribute with IT architectural principles and standards and have a central role in defining the overall target states. Specifically, some of your tasks will be to:
An experienced architect with knowledge of Banking and Upstream technologies
As an architect, it is natural for you to be at the forefront – of technologies and processes – to ensure coherence and show the way. You are a distinct team player who is visionary and innovative, with strong communication skills that can create followership, relations, and collaborations. We are looking for a senior profile in approach, maturity, and general broad experience in architectural design who is passionate about and dares to take the lead in projects and influence overall tech solutions. In your work, you are analytical and with a natural flair for prioritizing tasks and projects.
Professionally, we hope that you hold a degree in engineering, computing, or another qualifying background that is combined with several years of experience in architecture and strategic work from a larger organisation, preferably within banking or another financial institution. - drive architectural design initiatives across all Banking domains, where some of your initial focus areas will include diving into Open Architecture and Event Streaming
- plan, develop and continuously improve BEC’s principles, guidelines, and target states and ensure that they are anchored internally and with customers
- take responsibility for ensuring that the development of initiatives is aligned with BEC’s target architecture
- prepare strategy, goals, and roadmap for the domains in a trusting collaboration with Senior Management and other colleagues at various levels in the organisation
- contribute to the general EA and strategic work
