For a market leader in medical devices and software, we are looking for an experienced Developer and Project Lead in design controls with experience from the medical device industry. The role is globally oriented and offers the opportunity to work with highly specialised colleagues in Global R&D, with focus on optimising and streamlining a product portfolio that change the lives of millions.
Natus is a leading manufacturer of medical devices and software for a range of specialties, including Newborn Care, Neurology, Sleep, and the Hearing & Balance markets. Within most product lines, Natus is a market leader. The mission is to improve patient outcomes in target markets through innovative screening, diagnostic and treatment solutions. As part of the Global Software Engineering team located in Taastrup, you have a global outlook, with collaboration with other sites and functions. You ensure software deliveries of highest quality and in doing so demonstrates strong leadership and interpersonal skills, being able to drive projects and smaller developer teams. Your context is primarily focused on remediation of a complex and unique portfolio of products, and with a need for establishing an overview and reducing complexity in number of products. Some of your tasks include:
Your professional experience includes experience in design control from the Medical Device industry, and you are used to work with international standards such as ISO 13485 and ISO 14971, and IEC 62304. It is natural for you to think and act with a strong quality mindset. Most likely, you have moved from being a developer to primarily overseeing and coordinating development processes and changes, with demonstrated experience leading development teams in full lifecycle product development. You are familiar with Microsoft related tools and technologies such as C#, C++, .NET, WPF, WinForm, SQL, etc. In your projects, you have probably worked with both agile and waterfall methodologies.
As a person, you are a solution-oriented, flexible and change-oriented team player. You thrive in an environment with several stakeholders and with the ability to work with people across borders and cultures (e.g. US and India) and with colleagues from different domains (Marketing, Product Marketing, RA/QA etc.). You are able to challenge your surroundings on a detailed level, but you can also keep an overview and prioritize between tasks. In your work, you are persistent and focused on seeing a problem through from start to resolution, i.e. you take ownership.

- Taking the Lead Designer role in maintenance changes and new development.
- Leading a team to ensure that all deliveries are at the highest quality.
- Ensuring deliveries are aligned with the Natus QMS Design Control procedures and templates.
- Working with all parts of SDLC like requirements, risk, compliance and ensuring that the products can be verified.
- Driving initiatives and be a front-runner of high-quality software products.
- A smaller degree of coding in connection with the changes.
- Acting as subject matter expert (SME) in the professional area.
