As part of the FBK mission, which aims to achieve results of scientific excellence and to produce an impact on society, the Cyber Security Center’s mission is to make these techniques available to the largest number of organizations, including SMEs, which account for a substantial part of the EU economy but lack cybersecurity expertise. To this end, integrating automated cyber risk assessment support with trust management that will have the ability to produce operational suggestions to assist ICT solutions designers, developers and administrators in their daily activities is critical.
The Robust and Secure Distributed Computing (RiSING) research unit of the Cyber Security research center aims to investigate methods and design and implement platforms that guarantee efficiency, robustness and security in distributed computing environments covering the whole cloud-to-edge continuum. Job Description The candidate will be integrated in a consolidated team that is developing components of a Software-Defined Network Controller application for a multinational technology company. The controller is focused on the management of optical transport networks. The candidate will be involved in the design, development and testing of the product Java components and his/her responsibility will be to produce high-quality software based on the specification received. The candidate is expected to be able to work autonomously on assigned tasks respecting the defined deadlines.

Gross annual salary: about 34.500 €

- Master in Computer Science;
- Experience in Java development;
- Knowledge of Java and Object-Oriented programming principles;
- Knowledge of at least one IDE (IntelliJ, Eclipse);
- Good oral and written proficiency in Italian and English;
- Ability to work remotely;
- Good communication and collaboration skills;
Additional requirements:
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment, with a strong commitment to achieve assigned objectives and to realize practical applications;
- Knowledge of SpringBoot Framework;
- Knowledge of Agile Methodology;
- Knowledge of database systems (RDBMS and NoSQL);
- Knowledge of a version-control system (preferable GIT);
- Knowledge of Networking principles and of the Optical Communication domain.
