Ramsalt Lab AS, Tromsø, Norway, is looking for a DevOps Engineer.

About the position

Ramsalt Lab is serving and maintaining a large number of PHP-driven sites. We are providing robust services for our clients and effective work processes for our developers. We aim to streamline our hosting infrastructure even more, improve automations, implement better monitoring experiences and increase the level of quality assurance from ground up.

You will be the link between developers and the hosting infrastructure, focusing on providing reliable services based on modern tools. We are focusing on having a setup which is easy to use and maintain for our developers, but at the same time secure and reliable for our clients.

About you

We are looking for a person who sees the benefits of reliable services, loves automations and understands developers' needs. We want a team player who enjoys solving problems and is able to smile even in the most stressful situations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, improve and maintain the CI/CD pipelines and workflow
  • Update and maintenance Debian-based hosts
  • Setup and maintain monitoring and logging tools with the purpose to debug errors and proactively prevent downtime.
  • Provide technical support and consulting to the rest of the team
  • Run regular security audits

Required skills/competencies:

  • Analytical mindset, you are able to dissect the problems
  • Experience in working with Linux administration
  • You understand the configurations of some of Nginx, PHP, Varnish
  • Knowledge of CI/CD systems like CircleCI, GitLabCI, or GitHub Actions
  • Experience with config management tools desirable (e.g. Ansible)
  • You have already worked with Docker/Containers
  • Kubernetes is not (only) some greek word to you
  • Knowledge of PHP/Drupal is highly preferential
  • Team player who takes initiative and responsibility.
  • Great written and verbal communication in English
  • Knowledge of Norwegian is desired, but not essential
