Export Manager, France for KRUUSE A/S. Location France. Experience with distributor / partner sales - preferred from veterinary, medical device, pharma or related industries.

The position
The position is part of the commercial organization handling sales in European markets. You will be reporting to the Sales Director for Europe and be part of the team with Regional Export Managers for other countries and a Customer Service with 9 colleagues based in Denmark.
You will be sales responsible for France and have main focus on developing business via close cooperation with independent local distributors, who are handling the daily sales and service towards the customers (mainly veterinarians and clinics for small animals).
There’s a huge market potential for KRUUSE products in France and a strong basis for significant growth both from developing the existing channels and by signing new partnership agreements.
The key areas of responsibility are:
- Expand market share, turnover and profit performance in France.
- Identify new commercial opportunities and exploit the potentials both through intensified cooperation with existing distributors and by signing new contracts and partnerships.
- Contract negotiation and formation with new distributors / partners.
- Close and visible cooperation with key distributors, i.a. field visits, sales and marketing activities, sales tools, trade shows, etc.
- Ensure maximum visibility and presence at each distributor - including the inclusion of KRUUSE's extensive product range, product launches, campaigns, etc. in the distributor's activity plans - to secure the best possible priority, market utilization and development of brand position in the market.
- Ongoing close follow-up on the distributor's performance and results.
- Ongoing training of the distributor's employees and key customers.
- Obtain, analyse and use market data and insights from the market.
- Ensure an overall efficient operation - including communication, order processing and logistics - in close cooperation with the internal support staff.
- Compose and take responsibility for budgets and plans for your markets.
The Candidate
To be successful you should have experience with sales through distributors, partners or agents and be very familiar with the role as market manager. At the same time, it is crucial that you are strong in analysing and
understanding the individual distributor's business model and the local market structures and mechanisms - and that you're able to apply this insight in your proactive collaboration with the distributor.
Specifically, we put emphasis on:
- Solid experience from a similar position with a focus on handling sales via local distributors / partners.
- Experience with sales processes structured by an annual work cycle including campaigns, new product launches etc.
- Experience with close coordination between marketing and sales.
- Conversant with the role as overall customer manager with budget responsibility for own markets.
- Experience with building and follow up on activity plans and objectives with external partners.
- Systematic use of data and market insight as a natural part of your work.
- Familiar with pipeline management and ongoing reporting.
- Strong communication skills.
- A natural proactive approach to your customers.
- Strong IT-skills (particularly strong in Excel).
- Graduates with medium or longer commercial education and experience from veterinary, pharma, medical device or related industries are preferred.
As a person, you are vigorous, ambitious and independent. It is crucial that you are driven by creating results through close and proactive collaboration with key customers and that you are motivated by identifying market opportunities, qualifying them through insight and analysis and ensuring the best possible execution. It's also important that you are used to acting very independently and can collaborate with your manager and colleagues on long-distance.
Language and other issues
French and English fluent is a requirement.
Home office.
Varying working hours must be expected.
Large number of travel days.
