Associate Manager for External Supply Chain

The position As Associate Manager for our External Supply Chain team, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the day-to-day management of employees. You will be responsible for our contract manufacturing network within pen needle production, covering production in Japan, Thailand, France and Germany – and with plans to expand further abroad. The role comes with significant responsibilities to guarantee the smooth operation of the supply chain, meet customer demands, and facilitate effective decision-making processes. The key obligations involve managing daily activities, ensuring customer demand targets are achieved, and coordinating data provision for cross-functional teams and board meetings. Furthermore, as part of our leadership approach, we are continuously seeking optimisation. Therefore, the position includes ensuring that our processes run optimally and are aligned with various supply chain-related meetings and strategic initiatives. You can anticipate playing a crucial role in optimising Novo Nordisk's supply chain setup and ensuring its preparedness for new processes and systems. You will join a management team of five. Qualifications To succeed in the position, you have: • solid management experience with a set of good people skills • experience in supply chain operations and with contract manufacturing • skills within process optimisation, digitalisation and stakeholder management • excellent communicative skills in English. Additionally, experience with SAP and Novo Nordisk insights can be an advantage. It is in your nature that people like to follow you and you set a clear direction. About the department You will be part of the Supply Chain Management department, who is responsible for the global end-to-end supply chain of pen needles. The department consists of three highly professional teams, who work very close together to secure the supply of pen needles world-wide. You will lead the External Supply Chain team and have eight employees. Our department management team value professionalism, a high sense of responsibility and an open and informal dialogue. We ensure an environment, where we focus on continuously improving individual and team competencies and creating a motivating atmosphere.   The team is part of Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing which is overall responsible for the global end-to-end supply chain of Novo Nordisk's pen needles including both internal and external production, quality assurance and manufacturing development. We are organised in seven departments and with app. 470 employees dedicated to ensuring the pen needle supply to Novo Nordisk.
