The Head of Supply Chain Planning is responsible for transforming and driving a complex end-to-end supply chain from a planning point of view. This encompasses managing demand, supply, production, warehousing, inventories, and distribution planning, and developing systems, processes, and people to ensure optimal customer service levels at effective capacity and capital utilization. The role is a member of the Senior Operations Leadership team and instrumental in orchestrating the Executive S&OP process.
You will report directly to the SVP of Operations and lead a team of talented and engaged Supply Chain Planning and Master Data specialists. Furthermore, you will hold functional responsibility of the Production Planners based at the plants and interact with Plant Managers and Commercial Country Heads across Europe.
Two vital success criteria are to ensure that Customer Service Levels are the guiding lights across our organization and that your ability to transform a rapidly expanding supply chain into a fully integrated omni channel distribution network.

Your main areas of responsibility will furthermore be:
- Plan inventories to be optimized with due attention to both availability and slow-moving stock
- Make sure that capacity and capital is deployed in a cost-effective manner
- Execute Group strategy and achieve targets within the area of Supply Chain Planning
- Manage that the Supply Chain Planning strategy is aligned with Group and Operations strategy
- Contribute to the continuous development of the Operations strategy
- Lead and develop supply chain planning team, master data team, and plant planning teams
- Collaborate with select customers plus internal stakeholders from sales, finance, and operations
- Oversee strategic planning projects from concept development to successful implementation
How To Succeed
It is essential that you possess the intellectual bandwidth and creative competences to articulate the vision, and the emotional maturity to follow through from concept to implementation, engaging and persuading stakeholders at all levels in the organization on strategic, tactical, and operational levels.
Beyond that, you probably have a background as follows:
- 5-10 years of experience with role in Supply Chain Management or Supply Chain Planning and perhaps ready for a new challenge
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or similar
- Working experience in Customer Service, Logistics, or Manufacturing, preferably with career progression
- Analytical skills and the ability to communicate findings in a relevant and persuasive manner
- A structured mind with a flair for complexity reduction and logical reasoning
- A solutions orientation that strives to find actions to overcome obstacles
- Leadership experience with orchestrating change and persuading diverse audiences
- Experience with ERP systems and its potential and constraints in terms of master data and process flows
