Finance Business Partner Supply Chain, Carlsberg Denmark – Fredericia

Do you want to work at Carlsberg’s largest production site in Western Europe, with several distribution centres, more than 400 Carlsberg owned trucks, and +1.000 FTEs that ensure full capacity in 11 filling lines, a fully modern and automated warehouse, and much more? And do you want to be part of an international environment and in a career role? Then, you might be the new Finance Business Partner for Supply Chain in Carlsberg Denmark in Fredericia.

As Finance Business Partner, you will act as sparring partner to the Supply Chain Leadership team taking part in defining operational strategies and execution, and furthermore be financially responsible for the business unit. You will drive the financial processes together with a team of Business Analysts related to this area, and in close collaboration with the rest of the Finance organisation in Carlsberg Denmark.

In this role, you will report to the Country Finance Lead for Supply Chain and will be considered a potential successor as well as participate in management meetings that are related to your areas of responsibilities. You will work out of Carlsberg Denmark’s Fredericia site.

Strategic Finance, linking Finance and Supply Chain processes

A unique role offering a combination of finance, strategy, investments and stakeholder management. Besides traditional business finance and being a support to the Leadership team, you will spearhead areas such as FTE costing and investments; in other words, areas that relate to the present as well as long-term business development of Supply Chain. You cannot manage everything alone, and you are supported by an accounting team in Poland, and Business Analysts represented at the site. You will ensure that the agendas between Supply Chain and Commercial are linked and that Supply Chain supports optimal internal pricing and performance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Being financial advisor and co-pilot to the Supply Chain operations and the Country Finance Lead Supply Chain Denmark including management reporting.
  • Playing an active role in optimisation of COGS and Logistic expenses through financial transparency, value management and efficiency programs.
  • Ensuring alignment between Operations and Finance to ensure that they are working towards common goals and KPIs. Translating internal and external factors to financials and ensure decisions are based on the financials.
  • Converting the Supply Chain agenda into financials together with the finance Business Analysts.
  • Effectively evaluating and identifying opportunities to improve profitability as well as always setting a high standard for the financial transparency in operations.

Seasoned Finance Business Partner with strong outset in Supply Chain / Operations / Logistics

You are a seasoned Finance Business Partner with solid financial skills and a strong combination of an operational and commercial mindset. You are openminded, eager to learn and willing to continue developing in an international organisation. In your work execution, you are pragmatic and analytical with a high abstraction level.Qualities such as integrity, quality and ability to cooperate with different teams and nationalities are important, and as Carlsberg is a constantly evolving company, you are of course flexible and change adaptive, while still maintaining your structure and planning.

Professionally, you hold a bachelor’s (HD) or master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting, combined with 5-8 years of experience within Business Finance, Financial and Performance Management or Finance Partnering. Furthermore, you can recognise yourself in the following:

  • Experience within core business processes (Demand review, S&OP, NPD, Budgets, Estimates and Month-end Closings).
  • Proven experience in product costing and activity-based costing principles.
  • A strong business and strategic understanding.
  • Experience in identifying process improvements and questioning existing ways of working.
  • Good IT skills, intermediate Excel skills, Power-BI and some SAP experience (preferred). Must be able to structure and make analyses oneself.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal in Danish and English – if not Danish, the candidate must be interested in learning the language.
