You will join our department Major Bridges
As our new Bridge Design Engineer you will be part of an international department and explore the exciting processes in major infrastructure projects across all stages from planning through to construction. Ramboll has more than 50 years’ experience bringing major crossings to life on projects such as the Great Belt Bridge connecting Denmark and the Queensferry Crossing, the world’s longest three-tower cable-stayed bridge. Currently some of the exciting projects we are delivering include the new Storstrom Bridge in Denmark and the concept design of the new Ile de Orleans bridge in Canada
Our bridge team works on all types of bridges and has a reputation for innovation based on projects such as Gateshead Millennium Bridge - the first tilting bridge in the world. Our engineers work alongside colleagues from other departments both nationally and internationally to cover all the necessary services to deliver these projects.
You will become a member of a project team for new major bridges. Our project pipeline is constantly developing, and your contribution will be essential to further strengthen our portfolio and customer relations. You will be expected to take an active role in the design of the projects, as well as pushing the projects in an innovation way.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Your workplace will be Ramboll Head Office in Copenhagen but due to the international nature of our business, travelling activities are to be expected. Our colleagues are located on different geographical locations.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Plan, undertake, coordinate, and manage your own work on projects and tasks
- Perform complex analysis using modelling; making, reading, and interpreting technical material
- Manage a small design time and coordinate with BIM specialists for Model production and delivery
Your workplace will be Ramboll Head Office in Copenhagen but due to the international nature of our business, travelling activities are to be expected. Our colleagues are located on different geographical locations.

- A structural engineer with +5 years of experience in various phases of bridge projects with experience in the design of bridges to Eurocode
- Experience in the design and construction of major long span cable supported bridges is preferable
- Experience in various phases of major bridge projects
- Fluency in both spoken and written English as you will be part of a multinational team working on international projects
- You are careful, with focus on details, understanding the importance of correct and timely delivery.
- You have strong communication skills and like working in teams. Understanding the importance of working with a common goal and deadline is important.
- You want to develop your skills within engineering and are looking for a permanent position with future career progression.
