The Administrative Assistant works collaboratively with all staff to support the mission of the International Dalits Solidarity Network and represent its values when interacting with members and the community. This position is a key link in supporting the efficient and smooth day-to-day operations of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support
- Provide support to the team, including scheduling meetings, phone calls, travel arrangements, and event coordination.
- General administrative duties including drafting communications, managing mailings, and maintaining appropriate filing systems – including the organisational Dropbox accounts.
- Office management duties including ordering supplies, liaison with landlords
- Providing support to the board of directors, regarding meetings and document distribution
- Supporting programme evaluation by entering and summarizing workshop feedback.
- Monitoring the Info@ email and responding to requests
- Ensuring GDPR (Data Protection) compliance
- Special projects and other tasks as assigned.
- Contribute to a strong organization:
- Promote and support IDSN membership and affiliation
- Liaise with all members as needed.
- Supporting the Head of Communications with some key tasks
Skills and Requirements
ESSENTIAL
- Fluent English speaker
- Excellent customer service skills
- Outstanding verbal/written communication skills
- Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and priorities effectively and professionally
- Commitment to our mission and belief as drivers of social justice, benefits, and change
DESIRABLE
- Some travel may be required
- Experience with membership databases, Salesforce preferred
- 1 years’ work experience, with preference given to those with NGO experience
