Temporary position as Executive Assistant with a strategic outlook and strong planning gene, Obesity Commercial Unit

As Executive Assistant to the Corporate Vice President for the Obesity Commercial Unit in Global Commercial Strategy you will play an instrumental role in securing our mission come true.

About Obesity Commercial Unit

Obesity Commercial Unit (OCU) is responsible for our global commercial strategies for Obesity and part of the Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs EVP area of Novo Nordisk. OCU consists of departments spanning Obesity Projects, Obesity Marketing, Strategy & Early Pipeline, and Market Development & Communications. We are a fast-growing area with around 30 passionate employees based on Søborg, Denmark. We focus on adding maximum value to our internal and external stakeholders, and we strive for an open, international and team-oriented work environment.

The position

As Executive Assistant your role is to drive CVP management support being responsible for proactively planning and ensuring timely support, reporting and follow up on key projects and priorities. In addition, you will lead and execute cross-organisational and portfolio projects in close collaboration with colleagues from across the organisation. You will become member of the OCU Mgmt team and Obesity Core Commercialisation Team and be involved in priority ad hoc projects with senior leadership attention.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support to CVP in development and dissemination of communications towards internal and external stakeholders as well as corporate level boards and committees
  • Provide business analysis support to CVP
  • Act as strategic sparring partner for CVP when engaging in internal and/or external communications activities
  • Manage projects based on identified and agreed needs to fulfil objectives on CVP area level
  • Drive communication projects and tasks in close collaboration with Obesity Communications function and corporate communications
  • Support Organisational Development Plan (ODP) across the CVP area
  • Support building a high-performing team and a unique team culture that facilitates optimal workflows and increases knowledge sharing

You will report to the Corporate Vice President for Obesity Commercial Unit

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a relevant Master’s degree (or Bachelor degree) in business, communication or science. You have strong and proven track-record in project management and solid experience working cross-functionally in a global organisation and succeed through excellent stakeholder management.

Furthermore, we are looking for a candidate with a strategic outlook based on analytical skills coupled with strong communication skills, including the ability to convince and influence relevant stakeholders. We expect you to be proactive and deliver high quality on time as you will be managing multiple projects whilst maintaining overview across the CPV area. In order to succeed in this role you need to be energetic, curious, open and honest as well being able to interact with colleagues at all levels, including executive management.

Fluency in both oral and written English is vital.

The position is based in Søborg, Denmark, and will be a temporary position ending ultimo March 2021.
