Data Lead Project Directors Data Lead Project Directors to join our new exciting function in Novo Nordisk
Can you make a difference in drug development through data? We offer an opportunity to use your experience from working with data, your clinical and research knowledge, your analytical skills, your curiosity, and creativity to be part of driving the development of innovative treatments that will make a difference for people living with chronic diseases. Novo Nordisk and the pharma industry are transforming towards a more holistic and integrated 5D (Drug, Device, Diagnostic, Digital, Data) product development approach. To enable this transformation Data Science is a strategic priority and coordinated data activities will be key. About the position Data Orchestration is a newly established unit in Novo Nordisk Data Science Development organisation responsible for strategic planning of data generating activities ranging from early product development to post-launch. The Data Lead Project Director (DLPD) is the key project leader representing the Data Science organisation in one or more Global Project Teams and a proactive partner in 5D product development across the lifecycle of a product. As a representative for the Data Science organisation the DLPD will be directly responsible for orchestrating strategic use of data and data science disciplines, ultimately enabling data driven decision making and evidence planning with the end goal in mind. To achieve this, the DLPD will collaborate with stakeholders across the entire organisation and chair a cross-functional Data Science Project Team (DSPT). The DSPT consists of leading project specialists from our functional lines including members from Biostatistics, Pharmacometrics, Data Management, RW Science and Advanced Analytics, and ad-hoc members with needed subject matter expertise. The DLPD is responsible for orchestrating the process and development of the Target Data Profile (TDP) for a project or TA. The TDP drives strategic project planning and transparency for appropriate and timely evidence generation and data utilization activities across the product lifecycle. The TDP is owned by the GPT and integrated with the Product Development Plan. The Data Lead Project Directors will spearhead our new set-up in the clinical development projects and contribute to the continued development of our DSPT operating model and framework. We are establishing a strong team with diverse capabilities to complement each other, and we are looking to onboard candidates with experience from early to late-stage drug development to our team. The ideal candidate has a tireless drive, naturally spearheading change in large organisations and have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry value chain and product development. You are looking for the next step in your career where you can utilize your expertise with data and data science to champion 5D product development. You see teamwork as a key driver for success. Obviously, experience from a similar set-up in another large pharma company will be an advantage. Other key capabilities include: Strong leadership skills, either as project or people manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience Deep insights into at least one data science discipline in drug development (e.g., biostatistics, pharmacometrics, advanced analytics or epidemiology) alternatively as scientifically or medically responsible for designing drug development programs Excellent stakeholder management skills and organisational understanding As a person, you have a proven track record, being able to connect the dots across several stakeholders where expectations are high, and success requires exceptional teamwork and a strong drive – also when headwinds kick in Contact details
