We are looking for an Energy Specialist for our global projects in Real Estate & Facility Management.

Real Estate & Facility Management is a global service function placed in all the regions - Denmark, Spain, India, China and the USA. The main purpose is to support the operation of all Vestas' facilities - both factories and office buildings. At the headquarter in Aarhus, Denmark is a global function of Real Estate & Facility Management, which supports global change projects both for factories and office changes,for example, new buildings, rebuilding, closing of locations etc. With one of our Must-Win-Battles being Sustainable In Everything We Do, there is an increased focus on energy use in our facilities. You will be the main specialist within this area, but with close collaboration with the global team and the regions. The team has a great mix of experience and skills, working together to make Vestas’ vision a reality and we are characterised by Vestas' values: Accountability, Collaboration, Simplicity and Passion, which form the backbone for our culture of striving for world class.

Responsibilities

  • Lead energy screenings in current facilities (offices and factories globally) and energy evaluation when doing new leases
  • Risk evaluation of green versus "grey /Black" energy solutions
  • Create best practice and processes regarding sustainability aspects when for example selecting supplier, new facilities and maintains or replacement of equipment
  • Ensure close collaboration with sustainability SME, Global HSE and Global Procurement energy strategy responsible
  • Support global and national initiatives and procedures
  • Real Estate & Facility Management project support on sustainability impact on life cycle evaluation to a business case (financial impact from chosen initiative)
  • Keep updated on the newest development within the field

Qualifications

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree within Marine engineering with specialisation in energy or similar
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with energy in facilities - desirable working as owners’ representative
  • Experience with working on energy in broad context both related to awareness (user-related behaviour) design and lifetime evaluation
  • Experience with communicating complex information in a simple way across corporate levels and cultures

Additional information
The primary work location is Aarhus, Denmark.
This position requires approximately 20-30 days of travel a year.
