Power Solutions Innovation & Concepts Innovation Management
In Innovation Management we are accountable for market and business analysis within future trends and disruptive energy solutions. In addition, we build and scout for the pipeline of investment targets for Vestas Ventures such as technology start-ups.
We also develop the innovation portfolio including the technology- and innovation roadmap processes. We ensure that we have the sufficient perspective and innovation to secure marketability in the mid and long term.
Finally, we develop professional and competitive innovation processes and capabilities to support a targeted innovation approach. We are a small enthusiastic team who wish to make a difference.
We have a visible "can do" attitude and are not afraid to be different. We are willing to take calculated, technological risks, because giving room to fail is one of the sources for groundbreaking innovations.
You will report to the Senior Director of Innovation Management and be part of the Innovation Management and Market team.

You will report to the Senior Director of Innovation Management and be part of the Innovation Management and Market team.
Responsibilities
You will be the business lead in several innovation projects as part of multiple cross functional project teams. Your responsibilities include:
- Build business justification for innovation projects and market pilots through business case modelling of various concepts targeting the renewable energy sector. The business cases can vary from very early validation to full scale commercial business cases
- Develop business and market analyses including technology perspectives through continuous research to ensure high quality project decision making
- Engage with start-up’s in the evaluation of potential venture investments and deliver start-up due diligence
- Engage with potential customers and internal sales units when defining commercial pilot projects to ensure essential customer insights and perspectives
- Investigate future market and technology trends though industry research
- Drive Business Model Innovation in our innovation projects defining new value steams and propositions
- Contribute to opportunity mapping for the innovation portfolio of Innovation and Concepts
Qualifications
- Relevant Master's degree within business development or technology with focus on business strategy (e.g. Cand. Merc. or similar)
- Approximately 4 years of experience from a similar position, from either an international organisation or consultancy
- Experience with business modelling within the sustainable energy or similar sector
- Broad experience in how to build scenarios and develop concepts in innovation projects
- Solid technical understanding, enabling you to bridge commercial perspectives with technology development
- Professional experience in communicating with a broad set of stakeholders at all levels
- Experience working in cross company, cross national, cross-functional and cross-cultural environments

- Solid analytical skills. attention to detail, and an extensive toolbox to build business cases
- Entrepreneurial mindset and an action-driven approach; you go beyond known technical boundaries and test status quo to identify disruptive and innovative solutions of the future
- Progressive with a commercial mindset
- The ability to spot a business opportunity among numerous options and direct the opportunity all the way to achievement
- Solid stakeholder management skills
- Ability to communicate with enthusiasm and get your message through irrespective of the audience, and performs equally well on the factory floor as at a board of directors meeting
- Motivated in an ever-growing setting characterised by high intensity and uncertainty, and thrive in a creative but structured environment where things not always follow a pre-defined line
