Service Service Operations Turbine Operations Engineering
The department Turbine Engineering is a part of the Vestas Service organisation. We are currently expanding the organisation with highly qualified employees.
The department is responsible for delivering service solutions on All Brands enabling the service business within Vestas to fulfill its ambitious, strategic targets. The service solutions vary from parts & repair over maintenance concepts to product improvements like component life extensions, optimisations of performance and cost-out initiatives. The department holds the design responsibility for service/aftersales solutions on the products no longer being manufactured.
We are responsible for delivering innovative solutions to ensure highest possible value to Vestas customers in the service business.
The team is in different geographical locations and is expanding to meet the demand of a growing and challenging business.

Additional information
Your work location will for instance be in Aarhus N, DK. Rest of Europe can also be considered. Some travel activities are accepted and will be around 20% of your time.

Responsibilities
As a manager of the Technical Leads, you are expected to:
- Good focus on the people leadership by contacting regular 1 to 1 dialogue with the direct reports
- Support and Facilitate the people review and the CPD process
- Ensure that development activities for the whole team and for the people are in a place to ensure a motivated team
- Ensure that we have optimum resource allocation in the different activities and projects we are involved to
- Supervise any activities needed to close resource and competency gaps identified in the different projects
- Facilitate the Project development Process and focus on its continuous optimisation
- Follow up on the roadmap with upcoming projects, and perform a gap analysis in regard to missing skills and competencies within the engineering team
- Develop and establish the strategy around handover activities and dependencies from other teams or 3rd parties
Qualifications
- Engineering degree (M.SC or B.Sc.) or Business administration degree will be highly valued
- +3-year experience within the wind power business with people or project leadership role will be a requirement
- Proficient in English both written and verbal
- If you come with service operation knowledge and a good understanding of the commercial value set of the service business where balancing of product quality, lifetime and customer needs are always vital, it will be highly valued
- Experience on supervising and handling sub-contractors and sub suppliers
- Experience from larger organisations will be desirable
Competencies
- Leadership skills to be used in the everyday work
- Communications skills and can handle many stakeholders at a time
- Customer oriented and can understand the business value chain seen from a service and customer perspective
- Good eye on process optimisation
- Ability to take design responsibility and secure the right level of engineering to support the decisions
- Flexibility and ability to work with other people in a large organisation and capability of building up an intensive network across cultures and time sones within and outside Vestas
- Ability to work well in a time-sensitive setting and make the right decisions based on facts
