elevate Transformation Program – Value Office
You will become a member of the elevate Program Management Office Team and take an assignment as a Lead Project Manager to one of the workstreams which include at least two projects. The Program preparation work was completed in early May by a cross functional team. Planning for the execution phase of the Program is underway. Execution Phase kick-off will take place in June and then run in a Sprint and planning structure with consistent value delivery as a key focus for several years.
A key for the elevate PMO, in delivering projects is to have a solid and innovative project management team. We will continuously work with the project management structures and the governance around our projects, to ensure a high professional level of execution.

We are searching for a Lead Project Manager who will become part of the Core Team and take charge of delivering projects with a high impact.

Responsibilities

  • Define and set up deliverables for a set of projects and teams
  • Planning and estimation including resource management
  • Communication to stakeholders
  • Quality assurance
  • Change management (scope)
  • Financial management of the program
  • Ensure projects meets defined milestones
  • Prepare and reporting to steering committee (design authority)
  • Transition from project to operations mode
  • Ensure that processes are followed and contribute to continuous improvement of processes

Qualifications
We expect that you have several years of proven and progressive experience working within Project Management, which today enable you to lead a project of high complexity.
Ideally, you have:

  • A bachelors or master’s degree
  • Significant project management skills - a formal certification in PMP/Prince2 is beneficial, as well as Agile project experience
  • Experience in planning larger transitions including change management
  • Experience in planning and securing delivery of many parallel activities at the agreed quality and in due time
  • Professional communication and presentation skills, in English
  • Worked with cross functional, global teams, virtually

You must be fluent in English, spoken and written, as it is our corporate language.

What we offer
The position is permanent. We expect most of the work will be leading one of the Transformation Program workstreams and/or sub-projects with a larger team of IT and business resources from all parts of Vestas. We have already built a team of highly skilled internal and external leaders who are preparing for the execution phase of this multi-year program.

Additional information
The program is based in Aarhus N, Denmark. A virtual team will manage the program.
Some travel activity should be expected (maximum 60 days annually, if you are located outside of Aarhus)
