Sales Global Supply Chain & Transport Global Supply ChainThe Global Supply Chain coordinates the end-to-end supply chain of Vestas and balances demand (customer projects) with supply (key components of the turbines). The team's goals are on-time delivery, cost and cashflow. Handling risk is an essential activity for effectively achieving these goals.
As Senior Specialist, Global Risk Management, you will have a direct and significant impact on Vestas’ performance. In our industry, the performance of the supply chain makes a direct impact onto the financial performance of the company. You will use your expertise to influence and facilitate a risk management process engaging and collaborating with relevant stakeholders across the business.

This position has a great balance of global scale and direct impact to the performance of Vestas. You will have a broad role covering the extended supply chain, working with multiple teams (procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, transport, construction, finance) at various levels (from strategic to operational). The position reports directly to Vice President, Global Supply Chain, Christophe Mugnier-Pollet, and is part of the management team of Global Supply Chain.

Your work location will be Aarhus N, Denmark, and some travelling is to be expected.

As Senior Specialist, Global Risk Management, you will have a direct and significant impact on Vestas’ performance. In our industry, the performance of the supply chain makes a direct impact onto the financial performance of the company. You will use your expertise to influence and facilitate a risk management process engaging and collaborating with relevant stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate a monthly risk radar process engaging all relevant parties
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, supply chain and construction for comprehending the operational consequences of the risks
- Collaborate with finance for assessing the impact of the risks onto Vestas’ performance
- Ensure the ownership of risks in the right teams depending on the nature of the risks
- Lead preventive risk analyses (e.g., hot commodities) and secure the implementation of the recommended action
- Coordinate activities related to long-term risks with the Enterprise Risk Management team
Qualifications
- Relevant university degree combined with long and significant experience in operations, supply chain and logistics. Experience in finance or project management is also relevant
- Solid experience (up to 10 years) from a risk management position
- Good understanding of the wind industry or similar industries is preferred
- Great project management skills and experience in running internal cross-functional projects
- Cross-cultural awareness and experience from a global matrix organisation
- Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing
Competencies
- Solid knowledge of supply chain and operations in the wind industry
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging multiple stakeholders at various levels across the organization
- Ability to navigate between strategic and operational levels
- Significant ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders including senior executives from various functions
- A convincing communicator who knows how to motivate people
- Able to handle multiple priorities and activities
- A structured and pragmatic approach and can create an effective plan and keep tight deadlines
