SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER EMEA
How will you make an impact?
The role leads projects primarily in support of global operations strategy for the Life Science & Laboratory Products Group (LSLPG) although it support other groups / divisions as required ensuring that they are delivered on time and with the desired outcome by leading and motivating the project team assigned consisting of subject matter authorities & functional leaders. You will ensure that each project adheres to the BTO project management process. You will have a high degree of autonomy to achieve project goals & objectives.

How will you make an impact?

What will you do:
- Initiate, plan and implement assigned projects using standard work
- Build and present project report outs to leadership.
- Craft project plans with supporting analysis.
- Leading project teams which may be at remote location.
- Form relationships with business leaders and divisional teams to drive efficiency in the project approval and implementation phases.
- 25% global travel – as required to support the project lifecycle.
How will you get there?
Education:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a science, technical or business field or at least 3 years’ equivalent work experience
- Solid track record for running projects in a sophisticated manufacturing environment
Experience:
- Experience gained from leading projects across a global organization is desirable
- Experience of significant capital investment projects or establishing new sites, product transfers, consolidations is desirable
- Confirmed understanding of project management tools and methodology
- Must be detail oriented as well as exhibit strong organizational skills
- Ability to effectively interact with and collaborate across departments, business unit leadership, and Thermo Fisher divisions
- Ability to build plans that align with partner expectations
- Anticipates needs and problems while creating solutions
- Ability to influence others and partner cross functionally
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong team building skills and the solid ability to work with a diverse group of people to develop credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with peers and management
