As our new Regional Head of QHSE, you will be a trusted collaborator and internal consultant to our Regional Maersk Project Logistics (MPL) Leadership Team and the Project Teams, developing Regional QHSE leadership and engagement relationships.
You will be responsible for developing systems and structures to drive improvement and supporting the effective implementation and maintenance of Multisite certificates (ISO 9001 – ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).

As our new Regional Head of QHSE, you will report directly to the Global Head of QHSE, and interact with multiple stakeholders within Maersk, primarily across MPL, Security advisors, Business resilience and Procurement.
Key responsibilities
You will be based in Aarhus, Denmark and actively participate in the QHSE community, headed by the Head of MPL and the Head of QHSE. You will be coaching leaders to implement the QHSE strategy, policy, and objectives, and you will be providing advise support across regional project solutions including vendor management.
Some of your main responsibilities will be:
- Building engagement and understanding that drives a positive QHSE agenda across the MPL Regional Teams.
- Owning, maintaining, and improving the Regional MPL QHSE Management System and annual improvement plan aligning to the MPL QHSE System and QHSE priorities, KPI’s & Metrics including assurance programs and formal management reviews, In compliance with the certified global system
- Conducting internal and supplier audit according to the approved audit plan
- Providing Regional QHSE performance and risk insights bringing QHSE initiatives, performance and compliance successes and shortfalls to the attention of Leadership to drive learning and improvement
- Providing Regional QHSE Training programs to ensure people’s competence or ability to deliver QHSE requirements, processes, or behaviors
- Preparing the Quarterly Regional QHSE report. (Statistics and evaluation on targets etc.)
- Coordinating the investigation, learning and closure of Fatal and High Severity QHSE Incidents and customer QHSE complaints / concerns, including regulatory relationships and reporting.
Furthermore, you will assure QHSE solutions that support the MPL operational and customer requirements including lifting operations, as well as embedding Vendor management approach across region covering end to end contractor management.

Our ideal candidate is well-structured with excellent collaboration skills and has a background within the special logistic industry and has been working with frontline operations. We value our unique team and are looking for someone who shares our vision of teamwork being the backbone of all we do.
Furthermore, we are looking for someone who has
- 3 – 5 years of experience in QHSE
- Strong knowledge of the ISO standards mentioned above
- Experience with Operational QHSE management (on-site)
- Strong IT-skills (Statistics)
- Knowledge of local/regional QHSE legislations
- A good understanding of risk management principles and application of barriers and critical controls
- Ability to drive initiatives through cross functional teams
- Facilitation skills and ability to influence.
