About the department

The Quality Control & Analysis department is located in the QPPV Office within Global Safety in R&D. Global Safety is globally responsible for handling of adverse events, monitoring product safety, customer complaints and potential recalls in Novo Nordisk. Since employees in the department are situated in both Bagsværd and India, you will have the opportunity to work with our Indian colleagues as part of your daily job.

The primary responsibility of the Quality Control & Analysis department is performing Quality Control (QC) of customer complaints and Adverse Events to ensure high data quality for safety and product information, and to fulfil expectations from Regulatory Authorities worldwide. We perform trending and analysis based on QC data to identify training needs and need for procedure or process improvements. We work closely with case entry departments to align and optimise case handling processes and procedures across Global Safety.

The position

As our new Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing your team of currently 5 employees in Denmark, and 3 employees in India. Your main objective is to drive continuous improvements based on data insights to ensure we have flexibility and data quality while maintaining full compliance with external GxP regulatory requirements.

You will head up a team of 5 dedicated employees in Denmark with functional managerial responsibilities for 3 employees in India. Your team will be responsible for delivering solid data trending and insights including root cause analysis in collaboration with case entry departments. Also delivering continuous QC process optimisations that ensure compliant and efficient processes. You will also be IT application owner for specific IT systems used in the department and for develop and maintain a professional and good collaboration and relation with our stakeholders.

As Team Leader you will build and nurture a team culture of mutual trust, cooperation and common drive as well as coaching, guiding and developing your team members in a positive and inspiring way.

You will be part of the QPPV Office management team which consists of managers of two other departments, and the VP of the QPPV Office.

Qualifications

You have a degree in pharmacy, medical science or similar and a strong command of written and spoken English. Experience with data quality control, data analysis, proven track record of good stakeholder management, and continuous process and IT tool improvements is required. You preferably have informal leadership experience and are familiar with agile methodology.

You take a pragmatic approach to problem solving and have strong interpersonal skills. You are well organized and quality-conscious. You are a team player who adapts easily to a changing environment with tight deadlines. Additionally, you keep calm and result oriented under pressure and you have flair for planning, coordinating and working closely with your stakeholders on common goals.
