About the department
You will join the business area Training & Capability Building which is a part of Global P&O. Within this area you will become a part of a newly established department that delivers training business partnering and supports successful and compliant execution of training in healthcare regulated processes across Novo Nordisk.
You will lead a team in the department consisting of highly skilled training professionals that offers agile training development and implementation support. Your team will be known for its ability to support fast and efficient scaling of best practices within training and not leaving stakeholders before they are satisfied, business impact has been proven and solutions are sustainable.
Together with all your colleagues working with training and capability building, you will be part of driving an ambitious change journey towards globally optimising and aligning our training standards and systems - and pushing the training agenda towards the forefront of modern technologies and digitalisation.
The job
As Manager you will ensure that everyone in your team - Training Development & Implementation – is highly engaged, kept competent for the future and clear on our current priorities. To truly understand what adds value and makes a difference to your stakeholders, you and your team spend most of your time on shop floor and with colleagues from line of business. Together with SVP Training Partners, you will be accountable for ensuring that all business areas are successfully able to work with training standards, technologies and solutions in an aligned and compliant way. In addition, you will be responsible for implementing, anchoring and evaluating the effectiveness of these training solutions.
You will not only drive your team to deliver excellent support to local business areas, your team will also help Process Owner Delegates and process groups in Novo Nordisk to select, develop and implement effective and efficient training methods and high quality training content.
In order to deliver on the shared business goals, you will also make sure that your team has a strong collaboration with other teams across the business area Training & Capability Building. You will work in close collaboration with the leadership team, setting the direction and relentlessly strive for operational excellence. As a leader you nurture an environment where everybody helps and inspires each other to succeed, grow and develop. At a strategic level you will need to ensure that all activities and efforts of the team are continuously aligned with business needs and that the right stakeholders are involved in key initiatives and decisions. Finally, you will run a fact based and data driven operation where everyone on your team apply a continuous improvement mindset so that training standards and solutions are optimised to meet current business needs and objectives. You will report to the Director of Training Partnering & Execution.
Qualifications
You have experience from a similar leadership role in a global environment in which you have demonstrated strong leadership and collaboration skills. Ideally, you have comprehensive knowledge of fundamental training principles, including blended learning solutions and know how to apply these to meet business needs. Moreover, you have solid experience in managing change and excellent stakeholder management skills. You have relevant academic background, e.g. within Adult Education, Organisational Development, Psychology, HR or equivalent. Learning and Development experience from the pharmaceutical industry, experience with lean leadership and/or digitalisation would be a clear advantage. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and you are fluent in written and spoken English.
