The position

Business Development is an integral part of strengthening the Biopharm strategy in rare blood and endocrine disorders, both now and in the future. Through identifying, assessing and executing on relevant external opportunities, both novel assets and technologies, we enable a risk-, time- and value- balanced Biopharm pipeline. We work in close collaboration with Novo Nordisk’s Business Development teams located globally in Denmark, Zurich and Boston, in order to leverage broad expertise and networks.

In this role, you will report to the Business Development Senior Director of Biopharm. Working cross-organisationally with stakeholders from R&D to Commercial, you will champion external innovation and will support the full Business Development process including target screening and evaluation, building the value story and establishing the strategic case, as well as project management of due diligence and negotiations.

This position is based in Zurich, Switzerland or in Denmark.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or life sciences
  • Minimum 10 years experience in either a consultancy, in-house business development & licensing or investment banking / M&A house; ideally within the life sciences or biotech industry
  • Proven project management skills and experience; ideally on business development, licensing or M&A projects
  • Ability to analyse and digest complex ideas and data to make clear and qualified recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, both in written and presentation form
  • Outgoing with superb networking, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-driven, solution-focused and goal-oriented who functions well in a dynamic environment
  • Strong strategic business acumen coupled with deep interest and curiosity about life sciences and medicine
