In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the 2030 strategy for building formulation and fill & finish capabilities within LEO and you will also be part of the continuous update of the overall biologics CMC strategy. You will lead a department of highly skilled and experienced employees that work on all LEO mAbs projects from early clinical phases to launch.

The job – roles and responsibilities



As Senior Manager of Biopharm Product Development, you will head up a department, currently constituted of 8 highly skilled and experienced (formulation and fill & finish) employees, all with the focus on developing biologics products from early clinical phases to launch. All projects are run as external partnerships with extensive CDMO/CRO collaborations. The department is responsible for the drug product development activities throughout the development process for monoclonal antibodies, including; formulation development for clinical studies and final product, manufacturing processes and fill & finish, particle characterization, tech transfers, drug product IMP manufacturing and M3 module documentation The work is constituted by a mix of work performed at CDMO´s and internal experimental activities in LEO laboratories.

We are offering a job with considerable individual responsibilities and challenges, and the opportunity to use and develop your leadership skills. A very important part of the role will be to engage in developing and implementing the next phase of expanding and maturing the biologics CMC capabilities within LEO and over the next few years this will result in an expansion of both FTE´s and lab capabilities/technologies in the area. A key factor for success will be a close collaboration with the other departments within our biologics CMC unit, i.e., Biopharm Analytical Development and Biopharm Process Development, and you will be an important part of a growing leadership team with a common focus on building the area while delivering to the project pipeline.

You are also expected to develop your employees and the department processes, challenge and support team members on scientific strategies and deliverables, secure transparency and optimal resource prioritisation, as well as collaborate proactively in the leadership team and in cross-organisational assignments to create long lasting results for the organisation.

Your qualifications



You know how to balance your strong science and project focus with an understanding and interest in leadership and organisation/people development. You are an excellent collaborator and communicator and have the ability to motivate others.

You have:

  • A university degree within natural sciences
  • Managerial (or project leaders) experience and 5+ years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry
  • A Leadership focus and an interest in developing organizations and people
  • Experience from working with biologics and preferable monoclonal antibodies
  • Experience from working with external partners and CRO´s/CDMO´s
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience from working in cross functional teams and matrix organizations
  • Personal drive for results, a strategic mindset and an impactful behavior that creates follow-ship
  • Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
