Are you an experienced leader with a solid background in construction and real estate development? Then this is your opportunity to take part in Silvan´s exciting journey of developing and expanding locations in the Danish DIY market.
We are looking for a dynamic construction generalist to expand and set the strategic orientation of Silvans existing and future stores. With your great project management skills, you understand how to utilize your team members and keep a strategic overview of both refurbishments of existing stores, as well as the entire real estate development process for future stores. You will be responsible for a team of four and report directly to our COO.
Main responsibilities
In close collaboration with the Facility Management Team, you’ll take part in facilitating the expansion of Silvan by being involved in a broad selection of construction tasks. You will:
The facility team has an office space at Silvans head office in Brabrand. In order to support all of the stores, travel days to other Silvan locations are expected most weeks.

- Develop the strategy for all real estate development activities and take the lead on strategic projects.
- Analyze optimization potentials for Facility Management holistically and oversee execution measures.
- Organize internal alignment for opening new stores, negotiating rental contracts, and coordinating refurbishment requirements and support when opening new stores.
- Lead the team of four in managing the stores regarding refurbishments, general maintenance and facility management.

Preferred qualifications
To become a success in this role you will need strong communication skills, great collaboration skills and preferably experience from a similar role within retail. In addition, you have:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with construction and real estate development, alongside solid leadership experience.
- Excellent negotiation skills with construction providers.
- Expertise in facility management and knowledge of managing large refurbishments projects.
- Strong communication skills and business fluent in Danish and English.
- Solid PowerPoint and Excel skills.
