On behalf of our client, Milestone, we’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manager to oversee the Global Supply Chain in a dynamic, growing company.

You’ll be granted the position of Head of the Department of Sourcing, Supply Chain and Support Management, where you can demonstrate your personal leadership style in managing a team of five. You’ll be an essential part of the Hardware Operations Management Team and in close communication with the Director of Hardware Operations.

The Department of Sourcing, Supply Chain and Support Management is one of three departments within Milestone’s Hardware Operations Unit. The adept team dedicatedly supervises the following functional responsibilities within Milestone’s ‘Husky’ Hardware business line: supply chain and sourcing by ensuring supply, managing partners and providing availability of physical units. These duties are in coordination with cost (COGS), liability and availability optimisation, including warranty and reverse logistics. Finally, the team is also designated with the responsibility of supporting certifications and related processes.

Your responsibilities


In joining the Hardware Operations Unit, you’ll be able to apply your management skills to ensure that products and processes are in check for the sales and support organisation to place orders and support manufactured products. Milestone has based their hardware development and supply chain on outsourced partnerships, where all development, manufacturing, and logistics are outsourced to partners who manage operations on Milestone’s behalf.

As Head of Sourcing, Supply Chain and Support Management, you’ll be given the responsibility for the overall operations and cost control within Husky Hardware Operations and support processes. This includes - but is not limited to - the following areas and tasks:

Sourcing and partner management
- Manage the relationship with key partners
- Develop and implement the sourcing strategy
- Coordinate the ship-to-country list based on the countries selected

Contract and Business management for OEM and logistical partners
- Contract management
- Product cost negotiation
- Escalation point for business matters with OEM and logistical partners

Supply chain management
- Develop and manage the supply chain strategy
- Handle the escalation function for the ‘Husky’ hardware supply chain and support issues
- Manage the monthly sales and operation planning process
- Manage the production and fulfilment planning

Warranty handling
- Manage the on-site support process and ARMA handling process
- Handle the 3rd line support for hardware product warranty cases

Qualifications and experience


The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

- Master’s degree in engineering or finance
- Senior manager with 5+ years of experience from a similar role in a matrix organisation
- Proven leader who believes in putting people first
- Experience in the electronic appliance, consumer electronics or computer industry
- Having worked with outsourced development and manufacturing is an advantage
- Initiating and driving improvement processes and projects
- Full proficiency in written and spoken English

In addition, you have a flair for being self-driven, analytical and structured. Furthermore, you have a passion for demonstrating your capabilities as a creative problem-solver and strong communicator with superior interpersonal skills, which enable you to handle diverse stakeholders and interfaces.
