Head of Marketing & Sales, DHL Global Forwarding (Denmark)


On the background that our former Head of Marketing & Sales have chosen to continue her career within DHL in a Nordic & Baltics role, we are looking for a strong and ambitious replacement as Head of Marketing & Sales Denmark. We want someone who is ready to take upon the challenges in a very competitive market, in which DHL are market leader today.

Main accountabilities

With a full line reference to our Country CEO – and dotted line reference to our European Head of Sales - your primary accountabilities, as our new Head of Marketing & Sales, will be to maintain and develop new and existing customers and sales channels. And be the key motivator for the Danish Marketing & Sales team.

Other accountabilities are:

§Manages, controls and develops the overall Sales strategy/activities in the country in accordance with the group business strategy and the global/regional Sales strategy to increase market share and optimize business assets and human resources

§Implements global incentive program in country, where relevant

§Ensures achievement of country Sales Index

§Steers/improves Sales performance through process and performance measurement

§Act as the key motivator and coach for the Marketing & Sales organization

Preferred qualifications

As our future Head of Marketing & Sales we expect you to have

  • Deep knowledge of forwarding business and understanding of Product offering
  • Proven success in a senior Sales role
  • Degree-level education or equiv. experience
  • Collaborative leadership style
  • Strategic thinking skills
  • Strong people and communication skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and negotiation skills

And in addition to that, we expect you to be

  • Fluent in Danish and English, both verbally and in writing

Primary work place and travel need

Your primary base will be DHL Global Forwarding’s office in Kastrup.

As part of the job you will have to expect to use at least 25% of your time travelling domestic and internationally.
