The BPO Lead for Warehousing and Distribution (WND) is overall responsible to deliver the Processes, Policies and Technology required to efficiently run the Maersk WND Landscape. In conjunction with the Global Head of WND Execution, the BPO Lead for WND is part of defining the strategic direction of the warehousing and distribution function in Maersk.
As BPO Lead for WND, the overall aim is to deliver bottom line impact and efficiencies within the area of responsibility, while ensuring the end to end best possible solutions for our customers, employees and Maersk.
The BPO Lead for WND executes her/his responsibility through a dedicated team of Business Process Partners, who has the responsibility to develop the process landscape, monitor, prioritise and optimise the improvement of our global standards and local process variances, delivering high impact business results and cost savngs for Maersk by:
- Modeling, documenting, analysing and designing business processes with Global Impact.
- Facilitating the Global Process Community for WND and the long term direction together with the Community Sponsor.
- Ascertaining relevance and effectiveness of process governance and improvement model.
- Prioritising, selecting and leading functional global improvement activities through own team and global community and colleagues
- Conduct and act on internal/external process benchmarking to assess performance gaps and improvement areas.
- LeadingSep JDA implementation, blueprinting for WND as well as future technology choices overlayed the process landscape
• Lead functional community within domain
• Full domain authority to sign off on processes
• Be recognized as an expert/authority in their field with deep domain knowledge
• Effectively contribute across domains, and understand how processes are impacted both upstream and downstream
• Independently lead, challenge and facilitate the functional communities
• Independently handle a wide range of senior stakeholders
• Set and drive the strategic development of our WND Operations together with the Global Sponsor
• Understand customer and business requirements as a foundation for process improvement
• Drive continuous improvement in process performance and business KPIs to achieve cost leadership and commercial excellence
• Collaborate with other functional process owners and create a seamless end to end process
• Lead, coach and develops the Regional BPO Team
• Specialist / Professional in Ones’ own area of expertise
• Good technology understanding
• Preferably prior experience with Warehouse Management System implementation on a global scale
• Global Team Work
• Collaboration across domains and functions / teams as a natural default position
• Process Design & Solution Mindset
• Global / Cultural adaptability and ability to drive Change
• Ability to influence without authority
• Very Strong Facilitation & Communication Skills
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working with Snr leadership
• Improvement mindset
• Capable of driving and leading constant change
• +10 years in Combination as Domain Specialist, Consulting, Managerial and Project background
• Solid understanding of Domain & Improvement mindset
• Global level of compliance to process standards
• Improvement to Business KPI’s and Process KPI’s
• Effectiveness of business interactions and day-to-day continuous improvement
