We are looking for a strong people- and performance-oriented colleague to lead our newly established Business Finance team for Fleet & Projects.
You will get the opportunity to impact business decisions and strategic direction by providing management and senior leaders with accurate and data-driven insights.
An excellent opportunity to lead a newly established team Business Finance – Fleet & Projects. The position is based in Copenhagen and will work across the Fleet Technology department and the Chartering department, both part of Fleet Management and Technology (FMT).
Fleet Management & Technology is overall responsible for optimising our vessel portfolio, operating our vessels safely and efficiently and for developing future vessels alleviating our industry’s sustainability.
Vessel portfolio optimisation is managed by the Chartering department, which constantly evaluates the composition of our fleet, assessing third party chartering opportunities vs building own vessels.
Fleet Technology is a highly specialized maritime engineering competence centre, which handles the execution of vessel projects and ensures that great ideas supporting our carbon footprint reduction are brought to life.

You will report to the Head of Business Finance - Fleet Management & Technology and work closely with senior stakeholders across business- and Finance functions, incl. our global service centre.
You will be responsible for a team of four people driving financial performance management across Chartering and Fleet Technology. This includes assessing new business initiatives, managing project financials and protecting company profit.
You are expected to obtain a thorough understanding of the business and combine this with financial insights.
Specific responsibilities include:
Defining and driving the overall financial performance management framework across Fleet & Projects. This includes standardizing high-quality performance reviews, establishing solid performance indicators (leading and lagging), management reporting, analysis tools, etc.
Performance management of project financials, capex, balance sheet development, capitalization, time charter cost, depreciation and other vessel cost.
Establishing clear roles and responsibilities within your team, coaching and developing team members, driving strong collaboration and engagement within the team, in addition towards other finance teams.
Finance transformation and improvement of data quality by leveraging the overall Finance set-up, i.e. anchoring tasks outside business finance scope within relevant finance teams.
Financial forecasting of all financials in scope.
In-depth analysis of cost optimizing initiatives across Chartering and Fleet Technology.
You hold a Master’s degree in finance, economics, MBA or equivalent
You have 10 years of work experience within managing teams, investment analytics, project controlling, financial planning, management and/or strategy consultancy, business development or equivalent.
You hold a positive attitude and have a sincere interest in building a strong team in terms of capabilities and collaboration skills.
You are characterized as a strong analytical hands-on-person and thrive with multiple tasks and challenges at hand. Your ability to coordinate and follow up support you in getting things done even when time is limited.
You hold a certain level of resilience and thrive in influencing and challenging senior stakeholders across the business and Finance.
You hold a structured approach to problem solving, data management, acquiring information and communication of relevant information across stakeholders.
You are a self-starter, holding a high level of integrity, striving for continuous improvement and have high attention to detail.
You hold excellent communication skills and master the discipline of presenting data in a clear and concise manner
You are skilled in Excel and PowerPoint and hold experience from working with business intelligence systems
You are fluent in written and spoken English. Danish is not required.
