You will be part of a dynamic, collaborative and engaged Svitzer European Finance team with colleagues across different countries and a lean and flat structure with a performance driven culture.

As our new FP&A Manager you will report to the regional CFO also based in Copenhagen and will work together with the Finance managers in 3 different clusters. The European region covers activities in Scandinavia, Germany, UK and Netherlands. At the same time, you will get exposure to the Managing Directors of the Clusters and the Managing Director of the European region to present financial reports and insights, and to facilitate business decisions based on accurate financial input you create.

This position will require you to demonstrate your business partner drive and leverage your financial knowledge to create insight and add value to the business. In this role you will have ample opportunity for on the job learning and be able to grow and develop with in our global organization. The role of FP&A manager will require you to lift the forecasting process to the next level increasing agility, efficiency and accuracy of the financial forecasts and fine tune Business Intelligence solutions. The role will challenge you in all areas of Finance from performance management to participation in M&A projects and you will have to work closely together with subject matter experts across the organization to solve difficult challenges.

Based in our Esplanaden office you will be working alongside colleagues in the Europe HQ from cross functional areas such as Commercial, Operations, Technical and Human resources, giving you the opportunity to experience the business environment from up close. Working closely together with your colleagues to produce insights for business decisions and reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities


You will lead the financial planning, business planning and monthly reporting processes. You will also act as Finance Partner to the European management team, by providing insights to the business and proactively providing financial performance insight for business decisions.

Your main areas of responsibility will be:
• Driving the reporting and forecasting process to deliver accurate and timely financial information to key stakeholders
• Managing relationships with relevant internal stakeholders and P&L owners
• Managing training and supporting the development of the finance team with regards to financial forecasting
• Taking ownership of all financial data within Svitzer Europe and be proactive and forward looking by enabling automation and efficiencies within area of responsibility.

We are looking for


You have professional experience in a Financial Planning area combined with relevant educational background and a keen interest to develop further.

You have excellent financial skills and analytical skills, and moreover have a passion for making sense of the numbers and using them to provide accurate business insights.

You have a passion for working with others and take pride in creating a positive and engaging working atmosphere.

You are fluent in English with excellent communication and negotiation skills, and possess strong relationship building skills.

You have a desire to build your professional career within a global company, while keeping a balanced working life.
