Reporting to the Head of Global Security and Business Resilience (BR) the Head of Global Security is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing a security management program spanning across both Duty of Care and Supply Chain security.
This role sets the security strategy for APMM’s global operations including, terminal operations, logistics and services, corporate functions and the GSCs
A primary area of focus will be overseeing the development of cohesive security management program that is fully integrated with the HSSE Management Framework while also ensuring security objectives of none-integrated Brands are clear through the Commit Rule. Engaging with the business to provide scalable and effective security solutions that support current and future business objectives.
Oversee development and maintenance of the overall security strategy including management of COMMIT RULE requirements and set standard for associated assurance process
Oversee work and provide professional guidance to the Senior Security Managers (COE) supporting other brands to ensure there is alignment between structure and advise provided to integrated and none-integrated Brands
Proactively engage in development of the department risk management process together with colleagues from other BUs in the S&OR department, ensure it is simple, incorporate security COMMIT requirements and are aligned with the company ERM process.
- Lead and engage with global team of security professionals some being deployed in the Regions, fostering a professional approach and culture within the team
- Stay abreast of emerging risks through globally and proactively mitigate
- Lead the development and maintain the security part of the HSSE Management Framework covering both security aspects of people risks and our supply chain risks taking relevant regulatory guidance (C-TPAT, AEO, TAPA, ISPS etc.) into account.
- Actively engage in development and maintenance of digital risk management tool common for the department ensuring that security requirements are captured, and that entire risk management process is kept consolidated and simple.
- Establish leading and lagging indicators and provide performance insights via dashboards helping mitigate risks and driving improvement opportunities
- Establish training and capacity building program related to security together with the Learning Hub. The program should support both security professional (Area & Terminals) and employees in general
- Actively support the wider security community ensuring security resources in Regional, Area and Terminal engage as one team and are perceived as support to the business objectives (enabling) and not restrictive body.
- Develop and maintain a solid yet simple assurance program in accordance with guidance provided in HSSE Management Framework and the COMMIT rule.
- Actively engage with leaders in the business to understand the frontline activities and risks, educate them on their responsibilities (safety differently approach) and support them in strengthening security for our people and in our supply chain.
- Perform all other tasks and/or projects as assigned by line manager or department head
• Minimum 10 years of proven track record being involved in areas related to security management, risk management or similar are required.
• University degree in fields of study associated with role (security, risk, crisis, criminology etc.) or equivalent is desirable
• Proven track record having progressed up through managerial levels from junior to senior / executive roles in private business or public administration required
• Well-articulated and used to present or pitch towards C-suit level executives required
English level of minimum 13 – EF
