The role ensures world-class competitive, compelling and value-driving Lead Logistics solutions can be articulated to clients (leveraging global processes, tools and products) such that it allows Maersk to land and implement the new business required to deliver in line with the Lead Logistics strategic growth ambitions.
This position is based from Copenhagen, Denmark or The Hague, Netherlands.

Global responsibility for Solution Engineering capability:
• Lead global solution engineering community, establishing appropriate ways of working, tools and knowledge sharing for required capability
• Ensure solutions are designed to address clients’ requirements (across portfolio) where they also deliver value, differentiate Maersk and win
• Development and maintenance of a set of design, costing and pricing tools to be deployed globally across all Lead Logistics products
• Consolidation and combination of product pricing recommendations into an holistic Lead Logistics pricing strategy, tools and process
• Working closely with products to provide direct feedback from Solution Engineers community regarding product enhancements or new opportunities
• Define and implement guidelines, in alignment with product owners and customer experience, for customization options and Governance
Drive Lead Logistics commercial success and facilitate commercialization:
• Collaborate with Global Sales community as active member of Opportunity Management & Evaluation Board to diagnose product fit and support resourcing with clear prioritisation
• Personally and actively support strategic pursuits to maximize win-rate, including attending key client meetings or leading where required
• Ensure commercial contracting risks are mitigated through effective guidelines, negotiation support and appropriate approval processes
Build a World Class Global Lead Logistics Solution Engineering team:
• Attract, develop and retain a skilled team of Solution Engineers with the optimal mix of knowledge, experience and personalities and coordinate development globally in order to build a high performing function/team.
Be an active participant within the Global Lead Logistics Community:
• Capture and share knowledge / best practices throughout the organization to support short and long term success
• Speak up and share both supportive and critical views in a way that fosters a dynamic and engaging pursuit of continuous improvement
• Strategic analytical & modelling capability, ability to translate complex requirements into tangible solutions
• Extensive Supply Chain and logistics network knowledge, Digital / IT understanding
• Expertise within key verticals
• Well developed stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong understanding of commercial solution sales process and consultative sales techniques
