Climate action is a strategic imperative for Maersk and we are stepping up our efforts to reduce the climate impact of our operations.
As part of that we are looking for a Senior Innovation Portfolio Manager to join our newly established Decarbonisation Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing our portfolio of innovation projects, and help us explore, assess and mature new technologies for our ships, which can improve energy efficiency and reduce CO2.

In 2018, Maersk launched a vision of having net-zero CO2 emissions from operations by 2050 (https://youtu.be/2XBO_ZULmAk).
Since then the need for increased climate action for customers, investors and society has grown, and demand for environment friendly solutions are becoming imperative creating an increased need to decarbonize supply chains.
We are now in the process of finding solutions that are economically and operationally viable for our fleet of 700+ container ships, and innovation play a key role – both in finding the future fuels, and in improving the energy efficiency.

We are looking for an experienced portfolio- or project manager who is passionate about our decarbonisation journey and has the knowledge, curiosity and experience to help us achieve our goals.
By being part of the team driving the technical innovation in Maersk you as Senior Innovation Portfolio Manager will:
• Manage the portfolio of innovation projects focused on identifying future fuels and improving energy efficiency.
• Lead the exploration of new technologies that can significantly improve the energy efficiency of our fleet.
• Work closely together with internal and external experts to mature these technologies, so they can be tested and eventually scaled up.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders to create engagement, drive progress, build alignment and ensure business benefit of the innovations
As a Senior Innovation Portfolio Manager you have been part of the successful delivery of complex technical projects, or portfolios of projects.
You have ability to solve technical problems.
You have a technical educational background combined with at least 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
The following would be beneficial but is not a must:
• Tangible experiences from technology development and technical innovation
• Systematic approach to project- and portfolio management
• Experience with business case development
• Operational experience in logistics and/or from the maritime/shipping industry
• Partner and vendor management, preferable from/related to heavy industry.
