Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for providing technology leadership to engineering team to ensure data products get built based on defined specifications and industry best practices in a timely manner
• Delivery accountability and implementation ownership of Maersk offer to agreement Platform AI/ML based initiatives end to end
• Incharge of defining processes & systems to manage workstreams that include data science, data engineering & software engineering
• Drive compliance & adherence to processes amongst the staff
• Work with product owner, scrum masters and the scrum team do release and sprint planning and provide team commitments accordingly
• Drive career growth for your team members by understanding their aspirations and connecting them with Maersk’s strategy
• Attract world class talent and provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members
• Work with the team to publish research and represent Maersk at top-notch professional venues.

• Proficiency in data mining, modelling, validation and insight generation.
• Excellent working knowledge of statistics, mathematics, machine learning algorithms and software engineering
• Proficiency in coding languages, including Python and SQL
• Ability to work with large data sets. Has sound understanding of big data technology stack
• Mandatory experience converting research outcomes into business usable components
• Understanding of Azure and large-scale databases
• Proven ability to collaborate and work in teams
• Excellent with communications and stakeholder engagement
• Data science publications in recognized platforms/journals
• Proven ability to lead agile data science sprint projects
• Research new techniques and best practices within the industry
• Proven experience of hitting a fine balance between research & delivery
• Quantitative revenue management experience preferred
• Masters / Doctorate degree in Computer Science/Applied Statistics/Applied Mathematics/Data Science or allied streams
• 10-18 years of experience in the field of Advanced analytics with at least 4+ years of experience leading a team of engineers / scientists as a people manager.
