An exciting opportunity in Maersk’s Transfer Pricing Team. The team is organized with a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Copenhagen, with certain supporting roles in other jurisdictions, including TP-related roles in the Tax Operations Centre.

Further, the TP CoE works with regional and local tax resources to address transfer pricing-related queries and projects. Finally, the TP CoE works extensively with other functions in Finance and the broader Maersk organisations.

Within the CoE, one key area is operational transfer pricing, including interactions with ERP-systems, other financial and operational systems as well as TP-focused BI systems.

The role as Operational Transfer Pricing Manager involves leading the transfer pricing team’s efforts to digitally transform processes and tools to prepare the company for the growing complexity resulting from transfer pricing rules and regulations.

In addition to the Operational Transfer Pricing responsibilities, the role will involve other transfer pricing projects, where the Manager will work with other transfer pricing and tax colleagues.

Key responsibilities


You will focus on ensuring transfer pricing enablement across relevant Maersk ERP and financial solutions. This involves continuous involvement in relevant programs in Maersk aimed at renewing and maintaining ERP and finance systems across all segments of the business.

You will be involved in cross-functional teams to understand, evaluate and provide input to TP-related ERP and systems changes. Whenever programs are relevant for transfer pricing, the operational TP manager will be involved and coordinate with the transfer pricing team to ensure outcomes that are TP compliant.

Furthermore you will have the responsibility for collaborating with the Head of transfer pricing and the transfer pricing team to evaluate requirements for TP processes and tools across all TP areas as well as taking the lead in designing, updating, communicating and implementing changes, together with relevant stakeholders in the transfer pricing team and the wider organization.

The role will also involve participation in various transfer pricing related projects, including ongoing advisory assistance and specific projects, including conducting financial and economic analysis in support of TP arrangements and positions. Further, the role will be involved where relevant in cross-finance and cross-tax projects.

Maersk will provide a wide and extensive training platform for the Manager, to ensure continuous updates of transfer pricing and systems understanding.

Other key tasks:

• Ensuring that processes are not person-dependent, including RACI definitions and maintenance
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensures that technology and solutions choices are appropriately considered
• Partnering with QED and other relevant organisational units, to ensure that transfer pricing requirements are considered. Defined and moved through appropriate processes
• Overall operational governance of IT tools and projects needed by the transfer pricing team

We are looking for


The ideal candidate has transfer pricing experience ideally from a Big4 firm, tax authorities or from an in-house tax department, with a relevant professional qualification or master’s degree (tax law, economics or other).

You are expected to drive projects and realize results in a transformative environment.

You have good interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude and excel in stakeholder and project management.

Furthermore you:

• Have experience with financial planning

• Have experience with business cases

• Have knowledge of the corporate IT Estate

• Are Proficient with SAP, excel, PowerPoint, SAP analytics cloud or similar

Proficiency in English is a prerequisite. Some travel activity is to be expected.
