An interesting role where you will be part of the global Contract Logistics (CL) Business Product Team and own a Customer facing product from “idea” to “retirement” and eensure that Maersk provide the required warehouse portfolio to our customers globally, that these WND Product products are standardized and profitable.

You will be responsible for thought leadership and long-term vision for the “owning” product, innovating and maturing new concepts jointly with customers and commercial and operational functions.

You will partner closely with customers to understand and qualify their needs and create differentiated value propositions that profitably address market opportunities and industry trends, creating a competitive advantage for Maersk.

Key responsibilities


As the Business Product Manager you will be accountable for the P&L of the product you own as well as ensuring that the product is fit for purpose on global level.

You will be accountable for defining product go-to market & pricing strategy, financial forecast, and sales channel strategy as well as for the creation and maintenance of product master data quality and key documents, and the creation and validation of the product’s PRFAQ.

Other key tasks:

• Accountable for developing the product roadmap and business requirements which serve as input for platform and processes for internal products and our operations.
• Accountable for enabling integrated solutions, defining cross product requirements and delivering seamlessness customer experience when owning an E2E solution
• Partners with CL Growth team to enable growth initiatives, with CL Execution to ensure process feasibility and efficiency and with regional operational and business teams to drive an aligned roadmap

• Responsible for defining long and short-term roadmap of the product, ensuring the product grows to a fully scaled product
• Responsible for driving annual and quarterly product & technology funding initiatives
• Ensure that technology, engineering and operational teams have a clear understanding of the product requirements and partners to ensure product is developed with desired quality and according to plan
• Listen to external and internal customer feedback to drive product improvements and innovation.
• Own the standardization of the product and the end-to-end product lifecycle
• Advocate product management best practices and establishing Maersk as a world class reference in product management

We are looking for


The ideal candidate will have a Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Business Management or similar combined with sound understanding of financial tools/capital budgeting and being well versed with Scrum methodology.

You have at least 10 years of product management experience and the ability to drive product development across a team of diverse stakeholders to deliver world class capabilities, features and products.

Furthermore you:

• Have experience in setting up partnership or building own infrastructure to service customer’s warehousing and distribution needs
• Have experience in driving change management in operations, sales and IT to deliver product value proposition and go to market strategy
• Have a proven track record in a matrix, multi-cultural organization, building strong relationships and networks both locally and internationally
• Have Project Management experience within complex time critical projects
• Are a well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player with a collaborative mindset
• Are self-motivated and can complete tasks without supervision and who can evaluate and manage risks appropriately
• Have strong communication skills to support new product ideas to senior and executive leadership
• Have strong proficiency to communicate and negotiate in English
• Are proficient in Microsoft tools; Excel, word, etc. and preferable in SQL.
