As a senior Learning and Development leader, you will join our Talent & Development team, which is a critical part of the People Function – driving capability development at the heart of the company strategy.
One of the key priorities of the People Function is to build trust and robust partnerships with critical stakeholders, collaborate closely to identify current and future needs, and design effective solutions that enable us to deliver business results and win as a team.
You will report to the Global Head of Learning and Development and build a small team of direct reports. You will lead and be responsible for ensuring effective design, development, and implementation of business-critical, sustainable L&D solutions. You will have an incredible opportunity to showcase your ability to leverage innovative learning modalities to uplift workforce capability around digital fluency and modern logistics. You will stretch your capabilities and toolbox by learning from, sparring with, and building lasting relationships with diverse and professional colleagues, based in Headquarters and globally.

Your responsibilities will include the following, amongst others:
• Lead the creation of vision, strategy, and standards for a new internal ‘Academy’ focusing on digital fluency and supply-chain management. The work will commence with the completion of a broad learning needs analysis intended to inform the creation of a prioritized upskilling plan.
• Ensure excellent communication, teamwork, and alignment with key stakeholders in our Headquarters and globally, developing a curriculum and acting as a trusted partner.
• Spar actively with team members and stakeholders to define and translate business requirements into strategic programme actions, and ensure design, development and implementation of effective, cost-conscious learning solutions that embed required changes and capabilities and deliver on business results.
• Review and provide sparring and input to high-impact initiatives, projects and programmes across the organisation, and leverage synergies with those that impact or have interdependencies to/with Leadership Development, including across the HR Organization.
• Drive clear measurement, value realization and optimization of learning solutions, continuously monitoring progress and tracking benefit realization and delivery of intended results. Proactively pull and evaluate input from the organisation and stakeholders to achieve end-to-end benefits and optimization.
• Manage resource requirements, including of the direct team, subject matter experts and target audiences, considering solution characteristics, budget, and timelines across the new functional academy.
• Define and develop frameworks, methodologies and standards, and create/maintain knowledge repositories.
• Keep up to date on relevant trends and innovations, to continue to push how we design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning and development solutions.
• Support coaching and development of team members and peers to grow talent for Maersk.

You have proven experience with the following:
• Minimum 8 years of experience driving improvement and change in a complex, highly-matrixed organisation at a global or regional scope, with at least 3 years in a senior position. Direct experience with design, development, implementation and/or evaluation of learning and development solutions in a large enterprise (Fortune 500) is a must.
• Experience and understanding of various role in a global logistics business including product development, product management, technology platforms, commercial functions, operations, customer service, and program management.
• General understanding of skills underpinning digital transformation including (but not limited to): Data, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Agile Practices, Automation, IOT, Design Thinking and Blockchain
• A strategic mind-set, adept at identifying holistic and effective solutions and translating high-level concepts into tangible deliverables
• Experience researching, selecting, onboarding, and managing global external vendors in the L&D space
• A high drive, taking ownership and accountability and with a proven track record of making quality deliverables – on time, within budget and with clear business impact
• An inspirational leader, able to command a room, deliver a compelling vision and lead diverse and potentially challenging stakeholders and colleagues through ambiguity, change and discovery
• Exceptional ability to ask the right questions, with a high curiosity and open-mindedness and ability to challenge constructively and enable effective problem-solving
• Good structure, with ability to set direction and lead across a wide variety of initiatives and programs at various levels of development and optimization
