We are currently looking for an experienced Compliance and Reporting Manager within the accounting team of Maersk’s largest segment- Ocean, where we offer wide exposure to shipping industry.

As a Compliance & Reporting Manager in Ocean team, you are going to become a key team player in ensuring accuracy and completeness of accounting estimates and judgements across the whole segment, managing various exciting accounting discussions and owning the consolidated Ocean segment financials together with the Ocean team.
Key tasks:
• Provide IFRS guidance on various topics and accounting matters, deliver accounting judgment and decisions as needed within Ocean segment
• Having good knowledge of consolidation processes preferably in One Stream
• Ensure compliance to APMM GAP and IFRS across all the Ocean entities
• Validate financial impact of business decisions (e.g. restructuring, M&A activities, segment changes, etc.)
• Support Ocean Business Finance and Financial Planning teams with relevant accounting assessments
• Ability to completely monthly accounting tasks along with executing special transactions in accounting systems
• Liaise with external auditors for IFRS and statutory audits throughout the year.
Furthermore, you will drive the development projects in Ocean reporting.

The preferred candidate will hold a relevant financial degree, e.g. Master’s degree in accounting, auditing or finance, alternatively a Graduate diploma (HD) in Accounting or equivalent combined with a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in financial controlling, financial reporting, IFRS and/or as an auditor of large/medium-sized companies. Good knowledge of OneStream or HFM knowledge will be preferred.
You:
• Put theory into practice and possess strong analytical skills that enable you to make sound and reliable assessments in accounting matters. You are not afraid of challenging the existing processes and strive for improvement through knowledge sharing
• Feel comfortable working with IFRS and deep diving into unknown territories
• Produce high quality results with attention to detail without losing the overall perspective, even in a sometimes hectic environment
• Are an ambitious and goal-oriented individual. You take ownership of your assignments and are able to achieve results independently, while also being a driving force and motivator in a team
• Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and are able to work with both management and employees in a large organization
• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory, while Danish is not required.
