This is a fantastic opportunity to join Svitzer, an industry leader, as Regional Commercial Manager. You will join a team of 5 regional commercial managers responsible for establishing, developing and managing customer relationships throughout the region. The role is sales focused and includes everything from cold calling to account management and relevant contact renewals.

This role is based in Copenhagen in the Svitzer Europe offices, at Esplanaden 50. You will become part of the Regional Commercial Team tasked with supporting the overall commercial strategy of the Svitzer Group, with a focus on the European market. Key responsibilities


As our new Commercial Manager in Europe, you will be reporting directly to the regional CCO and work closely together with our customers and colleagues in the Regional and Global Commercial Community, as well as liaise with Cluster Managers, Port Managers, Operations and Finance Departments.

You will be expected to deliver on the following tasks and responsibilities:

- Take a lead role driving the efforts hunting for uncontracted work in Svitzer Europe.

- Creating and developing commercial opportunities and the customer portfolio through managing relationships with existing and potential clients, partners, and other stakeholders.

- To gather and provide market intelligence and participate in commercial decisions, such as tariff setting, commercial strategies, and projects.

- To support driving and strengthening of the Commercial function through various projects.

- To plan and execute customer events.

We are looking for


You are a result-oriented person, with great initiative and persuasive skills, who displays strong drive to build new relationships as well as nurturing long lead sales. You have a hunter mentality and prefer phone over e-mail yet understand the value of a structured approach and working with data.

We expect that you have the following experience and competencies:

- Bachelor-level education required (Business Administration, Finance or other relevant area), combined with relevant professional experience.
- Documented success in B2B Sales required,
- Key account management experience is a plus.
- Industry-related experience within towage and or marine services is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team-player with a highly motivated attitude to grow and sustain the business through long-term relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Familiar with modern marketing, sales, process and business development techniques.
- Experience in working closely with senior management.
- Approaches tasks with a high level of energy and is open to challenges.
- You feel at ease navigating in a multicultural environment, and deal with people in a broad range of professional levels and backgrounds.
- Fluency in verbal and written English.
- Flexibility to travel approx. 20%, mainly within Europe.
- You must hold a valid Danish residence and work permit.
