We are looking for an experienced Vertical Lead - ideally based in HQ in Copenhagen, but for the right person other locations will be considered.

We offer a challenging position in a dedicated team. The purpose of the team is to define the vertical strategy and develop the value proposition for Special Cargo Solutions and enable the global sales organisation to successfully sell this in the market.

The objective of the role of Vertical Lead for Power & Renewables (Windpower) is to define the vertical strategy and developing the value proposition for the vertical. This starts with a thorough mapping of customer needs and a clearly defined strategy (where to play, target customers, how to win).

The role is part of a winning team and has a global scope. It offers the opportunity to work with colleagues around the world, including in Regions, the Global Service Centres and Area Sales.

Key responsibilities


- Develop a clear vertical definition and a thorough mapping of customer needs
- Define vertical strategy, outlining which customers (and which parts of their business) to target and what it will take to be successful in the pursuit.
- Develop and document the value proposition and work with the product organisation to develop the products and solutions required to deliver this value proposition.
- Coach sales in areas on how to successfully sell to customers in the vertical and ensure that area sales plans are aligned with the global vertical strategy
- Responsible for vertical performance (Revenue, GP and PnL) as well as salesforce.com visibility
- Ensure successful implementation of existing windpower business.

We are looking for


We are looking for a person with extensive experience in Power & Renewables (Windpower) logistics, ideally with a commercial angle.
This could either be from working in a 4PL setting with focus on this vertical or as a supply chain / logistics responsible in a Windpower producer (or a combination of the two).

Executive selling and networking: It comes natural to you to build relationships with senior management in the customers organisation and support salespeople in the areas with reaching decision makers.
Customer first mindset: You understand the value the customer brings to Maersk and are able to find and develop solutions that are mutually beneficial to the customer and Maersk. You can speak the same language as our salespeople and understand what they need to be successful.

Stakeholder management: You are able to manage a variety of stakeholders and be persuasive and assert influence without authority.

Persistency: You are structured and able to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines. You are comfortable with ambiguity and complexity and you are persistent in working towards outcomes and improvements to the value proposition.
