Key responsibilities


We are seeking an exceptional candidate with to lead Maersk’s Personalisation, Experimentation and Analytics team. This group will re-define how customers interact with Maersk and its systems through machine learning to recommend the next best action for their logistics journey.

Key Responsibilities:

•Co-create the Personalisation and Recommendation vision and roadmap with the product owner, aligning objectives, priorities, trade-offs, and risk
•Oversee 3 teams of people from a variety of disciplines from data science to software engineering – total of approximately 18 people
•Drive the execution and delivery of products by collaborating with many cross-functional teams, architects, product owners and engineering managers across Maersk.com, Order Handling and other platforms.
•Empower the delivery team to self-organize
•Defining of KPI framework and metrics reporting, using metrics to define success and adoptability of features; reporting on team effectiveness (time to value, release cadence)
•Leading lean thinking across teams focusing on removal of waste in process and handoff points across the lifecycle
•Be a multiplier and have a passion for the team and team members’ success
•Maintaining and fostering our culture by interviewing and hiring only the most qualified individuals with an eye towards diversity
•Be responsible for the personal development and feedback for the team members, based on 360° feedback
•Participate in cross-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams

We are looking for


Key Skills:

Personalisation, Recommendation, Experimentation Enablement, Analytics, Design thinking, People Management and Leadership, Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure, DevSecOps and Agile/Scrum.

•8+ years of experience in industry as a leader of engineering teams
•Strong technical background with experience in building complex solutions, managing multiple stakeholders, delivering valuable MVPs and with a good understanding of what technical excellence looks like
•Experience building Personalisation & Recommendation system is desirable.
•An understanding of Experimentation and Analytics is a plus
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills
•Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and project management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
•Experience with DevSecOps, leading full-stack teams, cloud infrastructure and data science technologies
•Track-record of embedding design thinking and customer centricity in product development by adopting zero-based design, multivariant testing and user research.
•Skilled stakeholder- and people manager with the ability to communicate complex messages, constructively challenge Product Owners and related stakeholders
•Build strategic working relationships, provide thought leadership and influence others.
•Leading by example and working with a large workforce working across geographies.
