Are you eager to use your hands and be a part of something bigger? Do you want to work with organic food in the middle of an urban farm? Then you might be the person we need to complete our team at Øens Have.

In April we are reopening the largest urban farm in Scandinavia. The venue Øens Have comes alive with bees, hens, greens, and people who are all passionate about local organic food production and outstanding food experiences. In the middle of this lively and green oasis, two hand-built Yurts are home to our restaurant and event venue. The food is solely of Danish produce and made from organic ingredients. The wine is exclusively natural, and all elements are specifically picked to support our holistic vision on food production and day to day restaurant management.

On the sunniest summer days, we expect up to 200 visitors and we are hosting bigger private events each weekend. Our ambition is that Øens Have will become a social meeting point and an oasis that is full of life and high spirits. We will continuously have courses on natural wine, coffee, a seasonal menu, and the general workflow of an urban farm.

We are looking for sous chefs to be a part of creating the menus and the daily management of the restaurant in close collaboration with our head chef. We expect you to be able to run service independently and take charge of the kitchen.

So, we are searching for a colleague who:

  • Is an educated chef or has a great deal of experience working in the kitchen.
  • Is interested in the different aspects of a seasonal menu and special beverages.
  • Is adaptable and ready to work with a la carte orders, events, and community dinners.
  • Is excited to be presenting the food at both community dinners and events.
  • Can run service effectively and lead a team of chefs
  • Can imagine yourself on a team of enthusiastic colleagues, who are passionate about creating unforgettable moments for all our guests.
  • Is curious and ready to learn more about urban farming, organic crops, as well as seasonal food and natural wines.

Salary and terms of employment:

The sous chef positions will be full time, but working hours can vary from week to week with a weekly average of 43 hours and includes weekend and evening work. The monthly wage is 27.000 kr. plus holiday pay.

The working hours will be during daytime, evenings and often on weekends. The employment period is from June to October because the farm and restaurant close during winter from November to April.
