We are looking for a service design manager to own the pricing capability for our Ocean Contract Products.
We Offer
You will join the Contract Product Service Design team, a newly established team and discipline within Maersk Ocean. You will be part of shaping the function of Service Design and Internal Product Ownership through the ownership of the pricing capability for the Ocean Contract Product Family.
This position offers an interesting opportunity to develop and apply your knowledge of pricing methodologies, process standardization, data insights, and design thinking methods. It will allow you to impact the pricing strategy and automation agenda that are part of transforming the transport and logistics industry.
More specifically:
-You will own the pricing capability for our Ocean Contract Product portfolio, responsible for driving business and customer outcomes related to the standardization of pricing process and automation of rate setting and negotiation.
- You will be part of the Service Design team, where we employ design thinking methods to ensure customer centricity is at the heart of how we own our products and capabilities
- You will have the opportunity to work with an exciting group of stakeholders by partnering with platform developers, data scientists, data analytics and product owners to drive the agenda
- We are a diverse team with colleagues from different backgrounds and cultures
Key responsibilities
The Maersk Ocean Contract product team is looking for a pricing professional with established pricing and transformation skills, to take the lead role in driving the standardization and automation of our pricing capabilities. You will be supported by a small group of colleagues who help you lift the agenda created collaboratively in a cross functional team.
The role of Service Design Manager for Ocean Contract Pricing is unique, sitting at the intersection of business, process, technology, and data science. Your key responsibility will be to further our standardization and automation of pricing through savvy stakeholder management, ability to link your efforts to business and customer outcomes, and working collaboratively with stakeholders across business, platforms, and technology.
This is an exciting opportunity to deepen your customer centricity by designing our pricing with the goal of creating clear and fair prices to our customers. You will become part of a curious and motivated design team that has a direct impact on our transformation.

To succeed in this role, you should:
- Be enthusiastic about working with data and exploring how we can not only use, but create new data
- The ability to zoom in to manage the details and zoom out to connect the work to the broader picture
- Manage a diverse group of stakeholders across different functions and levels of the organization
- Be curious about how new processes (such as 3PDF) and ways of working can be incorporated and used effectively
- Work well in a dynamic and changing environment
- Ability to prioritize work with competing priorities
- Not be afraid to speak up and challenge the status quo
- Be comfortable with taking on a leadership role in a peer-to-peer scenario
- Be a creative and ambitious self-starter, daring to re-invent container transportation
In this role, you will have ownership of end-to-end development of the pricing capability for Contract Products, and you will play an integral role in strategic decision-making in the impactful space of pricing.
