Maersk is on an unpreceded transformation journey, radically transforming our products and processes to bring them forwards into a future state where our logistics products and services are truly integrated and highly standardized and automated.

We are therefore looking for an exceptionally talented, experienced, and resilient Business Transformation Planner to join our Transformation Office and accelerate our business transformation journey.

In this exciting role, you will be accountable for facilitating the creation of our future APMM Target Operating Model that supports our business strategy and develops a unified, company-wide, 1 to 5 year business transformation roadmap that moves us towards our future vision. In addition, you are responsible for responsible for modelling business architecture views and blueprints that articulates and promotes the design structure and principles of our future state business. Co-ordinating a priority sequencing of transformational states that feeds our Operating Planning (OP) process and transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Enterprise Transformation Planning Lead you will have responsibility for ensuring that APMM Target Operating Model is relevant and in support of our business strategy.

You will engage with senior leaders to influence integrated business design that describes our future states in the context of their business areas and in relation to all others.

Other key tasks:

  • Create and maintain transformation dashboards and visual models to express the maturity gap between current state business capabilities and our future state aspirations; which presents the overall scale of our transformation gap.
  • Facilitate t-shirt sizing the change gap, effort levels, cost, time to market and critical dependencies (engaging with e.g. Technology, GPLs, Data and HR).
  • Develop and maintain our enterprise transformation roadmap, coordinating a priority sequencing of transformational states that feeds our Operating Planning (OP) process and transformation journey.
  • Create investment scenarios that present predicted transformational benefits.
  • Prepare these key artifacts into the Chief Transformation Officer and CENOLMB as input into their strategic prioritization.
  • Promote / socialize approved future state business designs across internal stakeholders (e.g. GPLs, xPOs, Platform Owners, Enterprise Architecture, HR, M&A)
  • Drive adoption of a repeatable approach to transformation planning using our Business Capability Framework (BCF)
  • Ensure governance and control over key business architecture design artifacts

The ideal candidate demonstrates the following key skills and experiences:

  • A master’s degree with strong academic results
  • Solid experience in structuring and managing complex transformations from a similar position such as Senior Transformation Partner, Senior Business Enterprise Architect, Senior Business Process Architect, Senior Business, Transformation Manager, Senior Business Strategy Manager (e.g., 5-10 years in business consulting, business development, transformation or strategic program management)
  • A structured problem solver who thrives in dealing with complex issues – and have the ability to ‘zoom-out’ and see the big picture
  • A strong communicator, who can synthesize and communicate complex issues and solutions in a simple and compelling way (e.g., via memos and presentations)

You have excellent interpersonal- and stakeholder management skills – and you are not discouraged by leading senior stakeholders.

You are self-driven and has as a pro-active can-do attitude.
