Innovation and Strategy Lead in Maersk Business Platforms
Reports to Technical Advisor, Head of Innovation & Strategy, Business Platforms
Location: Copenhagen / London

The Business Platforms organization is at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies to improve the customer’s experience with personalized and automated end-to-end digital journeys, that enable Maersk customers to access standardized products and services seamlessly.
The Platforms help enable Maersk’s vision to be the Global Integrator of container logistics, connecting and simplifying customers’ supply chains. Additionally, the team creates the foundation to integrate data, systems and processes, powered by scalable Digital Infrastructure and APIs
The Innovation and Strategy team works across all the Platforms, driving the development of Maersk’s overall technology and innovation roadmaps as well as executing on these plans. This includes conducting deep-dive competitor analyses, supporting the Maersk-wide global hackathon, as well as engaging with our corporate venture fund, start-ups and innovation ecosystems globally.
This team also drives customer engagement efforts to embed customer insights and inputs into the product development lifecycle and facilitate opportunities for deeper collaboration and co-creation.
In addition, the Innovation and Strategy team orchestrates how the Business Platforms teams conduct their annual planning with cross-functional stakeholders, define the ways of working across the organization, update the key product development documents and share progress both internally as well as externally.
Finally, this team is responsible for driving key aspects of the People agenda including finding new approaches for recruiting, driving a high-quality onboarding program for new joiners, managing advanced training programs for product managers, and developing executive training for the Platform Leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Drive innovation initiatives including with external ecosystems, startups, our corporate venture fund, and internal innovation teams
- Manage customer engagement efforts to deepen customer relationships and embed customer insights and inputs into the product development lifecycle
- Conduct competitor analysis to support annual company-wide strategy planning
- Drive efforts to improve communications both internally and externally with our customers, including shaping the themes, content and stories we share
- Support senior leadership on high profile speaking engagements including developing key messaging and content
- Coordinate planning and execution of Platforms wide townhalls as well as Platform Leadership offsites
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across the organization to improve the ways of working, update the key product development artefacts of the company and help guide the annual planning process.
Who we are looking for
- MBA/MS from top tier, globally recognized university
- 6+ years proven track record in program management, strategy, and operations
- Management consulting experience at top-tier firm
- Experience managing senior stakeholders including C-suite level leaders
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, ownership over responsibilities, and ability to work independently and multi-task
- Curiosity, eagerness to learn and willingness to work on new challenges; comfortable with ambiguity
- Willingness and ability to drive strategic, administrative and operational responsibilities
- Experience in digital product management and/or in driving innovation is a plus
