We are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our IoT and Automation platform team - based in Copenhagen – Denmark or India.
As Senior Engineering manager, you will own building, managing, focusing, and developing an engineering team that meets the needs of the business and works well within the overall technology landscape.
You will draw from a deep and broad technical expertise to mentor engineers, complete hands on technical work, and provide leadership on managing Edge Point Devices such as CPEs, hand held and mounted terminals, CCTV, PLCs, etc. in complex IT & OT environment. While you should possess deep End point device management skills, you spend majority of your time building and nurturing great End point device engineering talent.
Key responsibilities -
- Responsible for providing technology leadership to End point device team to ensure products and platform services get built based on defined specifications; terminal requirements and industry best practices in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the business to identify opportunities to better support and standardize Edge Point Devices for our growing number of warehouses, Terminals and vessels.
- Create and maintain End point refresh cycles, deployment, administration, disposal.
- Delivery accountability and implementation ownership of Industrial End point device and management.
- In charge of defining processes & systems to manage workstreams that drive End point device infrastructure as core
- Drive compliance & adherence to processes amongst the staff
- Design and manage End Users support management and change management process
- Work closely with Terminal, Regional, Peers & stakeholder on regular basis to bridge the gap between technology and business.
- Drive career growth for your team members by understanding their aspirations and connecting them with Maersk’s strategy
- Attract world class talent and provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members
- Work with the team to publish research and represent Maersk at top-notch professional venues.
- Have financial and budgetary responsibility for area of delivery.
We are looking for -
- Substantial industry experience with proven experience in architecting and/or developing and delivering end to end products/solutions.
- Established experience in managing teams
- Expertise in Edge Point Devices and Management lifecycle of device for automated and semi-automated industrial environment.
- Expertise in providing operationally critical technology services on the industrial wireless solution side.
- Good understanding of device attributes hereunder performance of equipment under circumstances of industrial environments
- The ability to continually identify team improvements (retrospective analysis, maturity assessments and OKR’s and KPI’s)
- An understanding of the trade-off between technical investments and continual delivery of business outcome
- The ability to provide direction, support, and guidance for others hereunder mentor, code-review and contribute to product development
- Independently lead solution design and estimation
- Understanding infrastructure industry trends and relevant innovations in solution delivery methods
- Experience with Information Security management - Maintain the data confidentiality & integrity and relevant compliance of information systems.
