As part of our HQ Lead Logistics team, you will work directly on the development and creation of products that personify our logistics integrator’s strategy, and effectively solve customers’ problems at global scale. More specifically, you will be the piece in the Product team that leads our market discovery, problem framing and solutioning with the customers at the core.
You will have the chance to head the process to create tangible and customer centric solutions with desirability, viability and feasibility in mind, through iteration of research, concept creation, hypothesis validation and scoping.
On top, you will join a global and diverse team that adheres to the highest standards of product management and commits to making the difference for our customers. As co-responsible for our global Booking Services business, you will pave the way for its market and financial success in close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Co-ownership of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) global product vision and strategy.
- Direct contribution to the Managed by model of Maersk, through the identification of customer dynamics, painpoints & problems and the design of conceptual solutions that combine technology & supply chain processes.
- Continuous ideation & upgrade of the services that are part of our SCM offering (from Order Management to Consolidation or Milestone Visibility), based on market insights and internal/external data.
- Identification of behavioral patterns and customer requirements to nurture and deliver on the product development pipeline.
- Plan and execute system mapping, customer journeys, scenarios and service specifications in collaboration with the product owners.
- Lead design sessions with product peers, including research analysis, synthesis and ideation.
- Coach teams and promote a design mindset and practices, elevating customer centric product development within the product and service teams.
- Develop product/service narratives and artefacts that support our existing and future market position & growth ambitions.
Required experience & skills:
- Supply chain/logistics experience preferred.
- Leadership experience within complex and time-bound projects.
- Experience heading and institutionalizing customer-centric practices in a product development environment, in coordination with technology and business stakeholders.
- Design thinking and business modelling expertise in a B2B environment.
- Ability to make critical assessments of existing logistics solutions vs customer requirements, and articulate development & investment cases accordingly.
- A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Self-motivated, who can complete tasks without supervision and who can evaluate and manage risks appropriately.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and balance multiple priorities.
- Ability to drive accountability and performance management to deliver on business case via areas and region.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to co-ordinate and drive results globally across teams, and facilitate workshops.
Furthermore, you:
- Are comfortable challenging the status quo based on customer & data insights, becoming a champion of customer-centricity.
- Have the confidence to bring stakeholders behind a plan, leveraging synergies across different agendas.
- Are effective in a scale up environment where product development is incremental, and focus is on growth.
- Are a resilient team player who is goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Are pragmatic and solution oriented in ambiguous environments, able to think innovatively to solve problems.
