APM Terminals (APMT) plays a critical role in enabling the global Maersk Ocean and Logistics network as well as serving other Shipping Lines, Beneficial Cargo Owners, Freight Forwarders, intermodal logistics providers and integrating with a wide variety of local port authorities, customs and government bodies across our global network of transhipment, import and export gateway terminals.
In support of the broader Maersk strategy, we are accelerating the transformation of our business from a portfolio of independently operated terminals, into a safer, better, bigger global terminals operator.
We offer -
As Lead Software Engineer, you will be actively engaged in building a platform to capture emissions data from other enterprise products, which will be enabled through API based data exchange and event streaming providing a unified view of emissions data across APMM operations.
You will be also engaged in building a service offering that standardizes emission calculation in alignment with Green House Gas (GHG) protocols, across the enterprise. This accounting platform and calculator will be integrated with other enterprise products and services, in an effort to build single source of truth for standardized emissions data for the enterprise.
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to our Emissions Platform team. The team consists of Senior Software Engineers and software engineers who are working together to process, analyse and complete hands-on technical work and resolve complex issues and challenges.
You will be working with the largest technology providers globally. Using cutting-edge technologies in Hybrid Cloud Management with significant opportunities to develop, demonstrate and broaden your technology career.
Key responsibilities -
- Work in collaboration with Software Engineers to create world class applications.
- Oversee, maintain, and lead the direction of architecture of the pipelines.
- Automate the development cycles using state of the art tools
- Work with your team and relevant stakeholders to find the right solutions to the right problems
- Build and test applications based on technical requirements from the Senior Engineering Manager
- Translate user stories into technical requirements
- Manage Scrum team backlog with the Platform Product Owner
- Ensure that the team delivers high quality and tech related work items is prioritized
- Responsible for defining, improving and road mapping the architecture and designs for our Decarbonisation product offering, partnering with industry players like Microsoft, AWS and also with Start Ups.
- Represent Maersk on key industry standards forums and work with the team to publish research and represent Maersk at industry and technology standards bodies and forums.
- Responsible for guidance and resolution of technical issues and challenges faced by engineering teams in the implementation of standardized architectures.
- Work closely with global, regional, and local stakeholders on regular basis to bridge the gap between technology and business.
We are looking for -
- Proven experience in developing Develop cloud-native, distributed systems in Java, Spring boot and React. Desirable skills in: Azure Web App, Azure API, Kubernetes, IoT
- Knowledge of Domain Driven Design and/or functional programming with microservices architecture.
- Modern web applications and APIs.
- Experience in developing and maintaining scalable and robust RESTful APIs; deep knowledge of REST/SOAP.
- Versioning/monitoring of software products
- Data streaming (E.g. Kafka)
- Dockers and Kubernetes
- Experience with standard DevOps practices and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
