Opportunity

As a Senior People Solutions Owner-Benefits you will be defining Maersk’s approach to benefits, aligned to our principles, values and business needs.

You will contribute to Maersk’s goal of supporting employees to be their best selves at work and at home, through owning and developing global benefits frameworks and initiatives in line with the identified business needs – and founded in our principles.

You will ensure our Employee Experience Organization have the tools to help colleagues, leaders, candidates, external talent pool understand Maersk’s approach to benefits, and you will collaborate with colleagues in and outside of the People Solutions team and actively build strong relationships at all levels.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for benefits to positively contribute to Maersk’s business objectives and/or to mitigate risks to which Maersk may be or may become exposed

  • Influence stakeholders and decision makers around benefit strategy, philosophy and response to key issues and challenges

  • Develop global benefits policies, frameworks and guidance founded in the rewards principles and in line with the business needs

  • Work with the Employee Experience Organisation to ensure successful deployment and delivery of benefits programmes

  • Lead the Global Benefits Management (GBM) agenda in partnership with Risk and guide colleagues on implementation of the GBM global principles and standards.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of GBM processes and operating model, to support effective and efficient plan management.

  • Develop stakeholder communication and engagement strategies and material

  • Identify issues and improvement opportunities across benefits and proactively recommend solutions

  • Identify data management and mining opportunities to support strategy development, story telling and decision making


What are we looking for someone who has?

  • Self-motivation, accountability and efficient execution, with a knack for pragmatic problem-solving.

  • Resilience and maturity in dealing with change/uncertainty and delivering results in challenging environments.

  • Executive presence with the ability to communicate with and influence senior stakeholders, conceptualizing and shaping strategies, challenging perceptions and expanding points of view while acting as the trusted advisor.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex projects across multiple countries.

  • Strong networking and change management skills

  • Influence without authority with the ability to get things done through others.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to build reasoned and compelling rationale and ability to utilize technology effectively – creating stories and helping to influence decisions.

  • Apply a global mindset pragmatically, appropriately recognising local factors and constraints

  • Colleague (customer) obsession as regards the Benefits experience, and a passion for making a difference
