Opportunity

We are looking for a trusted finance leader to lead the SG&A and Technology FP&A team at Maersk, who focuses on delivering high-end Financial Performance Management including financial information, storytelling, insight, analysis and forecasts to support continuous improvement of Group Functions (Corporate Affairs, People & Finance), Global APMM SG&A and Global Technology business performance.

The individual orchestrates the core financial cycles (month-end, RoFo, Budget, and strategic long-term planning (5Y)) for the functions and the extensive collaboration with the Segment finance teams including end-to-end oversight of cost allocation framework for Global SG&A incl. Technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to professional staff and works independently within a broad framework, with a clear level of authority.

  • Defines, communicates and drives strategies for SG&A and Technology finances while understanding overall objectives and effectively managing stakeholders within APMM ELT, People, CA, Finance and Technology

  • Has accountability for timely and high-quality overall SG&A, Group functions and Technology financial reporting and analysis to key stakeholders, such as People Function, CA, Finance and Technology leadership team and Corporate FP&A for all financial cycles (month-end, RoFo, Budget & Business Plan)

  • Has accountability for the analysis and interpretation of financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions

  • Has accountability for cost allocation and cost recharge process for Technology & HQ costs to Maersk legal entities as well as 2nd layer distribution to e.g. products and APMT legal entities

  • Identifies, contributes toward, and drives business improvement initiatives and optimises current processes in cooperation with the finance business partner teams in Pune

  • Solves complex challenges based on accurate identification of underlying factors / causes and is aware of the impact of proposed solutions

  • Develops the team through coaching and mentoring to build organizational capability

  • Build strong partnerships/relationships with a broad of cross-functional and global teams


Who are we looking for

  • Has few years of finance experience

  • Ability to analyse and present large amounts of information in a manner that is clear, concise and actionable

  • Good experience in stakeholder management and ability to adapt to a changing reporting environment

  • Deals well with large amounts of uncertainty, complexity and change

  • Experience with managing teams, both onshore/offshore/physically/virtually
