Project logistics is a specialized subset of the logistics industry that requires a fully integrated approach to the global orchestration of material flow, order management and shipment execution from multiple origins to a defined site location, including transportation of regular, out of gauge cargo (OOG) and other sensitive cargo across various transport modes (Ocean, Air and Land) with the objective to deliver in full, complete, on time and in the right sequence per the customer’s project plan and schedule.
At Maersk, our Project Logistics product teams combine traditional freight forwarding and transport capabilities with the highly specialized skills and competencies needed for complex project planning, transport engineering, procurement, and Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) compliance. Our experts are skilled in project transport solution design, special cargo transportation, specialized transport asset management, and project management services, including detailed planning, orchestration, and sequencing of end-to-end shipments from suppliers to often remote and austere destination sites.

We offer
The Global Head of Growth for MPL (Maersk Project Logistics) is responsible for determining and reaching the product's top-line growth objectives. This role oversees the product's sales pipeline to ensure its growth aligns with the product's financial planning. Additionally, this role spearheads the product’s strategic growth initiatives to achieve the yearly budgeted revenues and volumes. It establishes the standards and governance framework for the product's growth facilitation. Furthermore, it offers continuity of knowledge and bid coordination to regional growth teams.
The position will be located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Key responsibilities
Responsible for the Lead to Agreement process for MPL including the OMEB process.
Responsible for setting the overall MPL growth strategy by verticals and geographies
Sets the customer engagement model between Sales and the product growth enablement team
Responsible for building a market leading growth enablement organization with the relevant vertical & RFQ management competences needed to deliver the planned growth
Responsible for the global RFQ bid processes/tool including commerical price setting process for large or strategic RFQ opportunities
Participate in and contribute to establishing the Go-to-Market and Pricing strategy of the MPL products And ead and execute the Go To Market process of the product in line with the go to product market strategy
Consolidate and share market information including market development, competition, customer and pricing trends.
Participate in and contribute to the annual sales target setting process for the product engaging with Finance and Sales
Compile in cooperation with Region/Area stakeholders, the annual growth plan initiatives needed to deliver the annual budgeted growth in GP & Volumes (as applicable)
Ensure consistent monthly delivery of budgeted GP for the product by active monitoring of the global sales pipeline including achieved business wins and conversion ratios across all sales channels
Jointly with the product BPO ensure updated product sales & training material is maintained and made available to all relevant parties
Provide product input for marketing and commercial activities
We are looking for:
10-12+ yrs of logistics experience in complex supply chain operations from either BCO or Logistics Industry communities
Extensive technical product knowledge including experience in product pricing and go to market strategies
Experience in customer facing engagements and presentation.
Understanding of the key profitability drivers in project logistics and project supply chain management
Strong ability to facilitate cross-functional decision-making and execution
Strong communication and presentation skills
